Microsoft: we regret saying all this crap, we accept 3rd place.

Ok here is a scenario. What if Microsoft is ahead for 5 years and sells more software than ps3 overall...and eventually ps3 catches up and is ahead for a year...before next gen consoles come out? Does PS3 win the next gen war?

PS3 will eventually trample the 360 when the weekly gap starts widening even further!

As for Wii... Impossible! Wii is kicking ass, but 360 is out of steam until the holiday season kicks in...

There is still an epically long time left in this console war, and anyone saying Microsoft has NO CHANCE at second place is kidding themselves.

There are too many unknowns to see which way this will go, but he's well within his sanity to think that they can still do it.

IMO I think i'd rather take the 3rd place this gen over the 2nd place they got last gen. Despite missteps and still a pretty narrow image of their console at the start, the 360 did surpass most peoples expectations. I think eventually the PS3 will overtake the 360 but under the terms in which it overtakes it will determine the if it means anything.
