This kid is a delusional 360 fan, read my post properly.

I never said the Wii WILL have a bump because of One Piece, I said I don't know if it will. Plus sales have been driven by Wii Fit and MKWii, anyone who denies that, or that thinks Wii will stop selling for 1 week so that 360 can sell more is very deluded.

In real life if a number of factors goes MS's way i couldn't deny the possibility of stickball being correct but any benefit these factors will have will be short lived.

the XBOX brand just doesn't apeal to the japanese customer , Microsoft need to completley re-evaluate their promotion of the XBOX brand because what ever they are doing it just simply isn't working , games and price point aren't making a whole lot of difference.

I'm not arguing that we're going to magically see the X360 outsell the Wii or PS3 for any week but this one....It may get a few weeks to lead the PS3, but not very long.

It's more of a question of "Could Microsoft have brewed the perfect storm in Japan for a week?"...Best case scenario, the X360 beats the Wii and PS3 out, gets positive publicity, and goes on to sell better than it has in Japan, ever, but still trails well behind the PS3 for the rest of its life. Again, BEST case scenario. We all know how bad the X360 has done in Japan, and there's no way to spin 700,000 units sold vs. the PS3 at 2.3m in a years' less timespan.

Famitsu has the Wii at ~24k. If it trends like last year, then the Wii could be at 20k next week so there is a possibility that it will.

However, it really depends on pre-orders of the X360 and how much Microsoft ships to japan.

So, I'm going to there is a 75% chance the X360 outsells the Wii for 1 week.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Never, not even for one week, the only way would be for FF XIII to be exclusive for them in Japan and thats not happening for sure.

Have we seen 20k levels for the 360 in Japan before? If so, when?

The thing is that, those who bought x360 for Tov, could be same people, which wanted x360 also for IU, and in that case won`t have any boost,
while price cut is not a factor in Jaopan for x360, and probably will give 10k in best case.

So it`s very low chance, unless wii goes below 15k, then there is a chance.

It would be one heck of a week to see 360 ahead of both the PS3 and Wii in Japan. I can't say I wouldn't have a good laugh if that was the case.

Time will tell, but I doubt it.

If It does happen, good for 360.

That makes sense... finally you are using some logic.

I have seen your posts here and in N4G, and this is the first time I have seen a comment by you that is not illogical or wishful.
