I really think that Sonic & the Black Knight will be a million seller down the road. Especially now that Secret Rings is about to be a million seller in Others alone.
Other than that, looks pretty good to me. ![]()

pretty conservative predictions I would say. Don't forget that games who doesnt sell 500K on the long run on the Wii are very rare.

I would put your suggested time frame at least one, if not two years back. 2) Sonic and the Black Knight will easily sell a million, Castlevania and MadWorld won't reach the 500k mark. The rest I can agree with. 7) My guess is about 80m sell through by February 2009. 9) The Wii will sell more than 200m units lifetime and won't stop selling before 2020. |
Don't you mean 2010?
As for 9) you lost it man, you lost it.

Actually i dont have other reason it was just a question consider that Sony is the only one who talks about 10 years plan and everybody dont think it will last that long.

Well, the PS2, by far the most dominant console in history, only sold well for eight years and two years after its successor released, putting the outside limit for good Wii sales at 2014. Also, I don't care how well the Wii sells, it won't be nearly as dominant as the PS2 (120/(21+24) > 150/(70+65)). Add that to the fact that the Wii will be much more inferior to contemporary standards in 2014 than the PS2 is in 2008, and I don't see any way the Wii can keep selling for ten years. There's also no way Nintendo will wait to release the Wii 2 in 2014... Other than that though, I'd say your predictions are spot on.
Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

Yes, that's supposed to be February 2010. As for 9), no. |
Which five games do you think will sell 10 million+ on the Wii besides Wii Sports and Wii Play?
I'd say Mario Kart, Wii Fit and Brawl are a given. Super Mario Galaxy has a chance, and maybe the next Mario and Zelda games. Do you have any other candidates? Sonic Party?

umm... by 2020, we will be well into the ninth generation of consoles, real-time ray-tracing will be possible on mid-range PCs, we will have 128 to 256-core processors.......... Not a chance the Wii will sell in that climate. That would be like the NES still selling through early 2000....

Actually, the NES lasted almost 14 years, from 1983 to 1996. So it's not that hard to imagine.

stof you sneaky postman.... you can't gift VC games with a European.
@OP... I think your 70-77 million might be a little conservative, in that I think it will be at the high end of that at least..... keeping with a 7 million range I'd say 75-82 million.
@Chrizum/Rol argument.... In Japan the NES was still being sold in 2003. Making it 20 years old!

Mario Kart, Galaxy, Brawl and Wii Fit were the games I expected to pass the mark, but I wasn't sure what the fifth game would be. Maybe Wii Music. Well, Nintendo is definitely capable of making five 10m selling Wii games, could also be a game which isn't announced yet. |
Wii Sports Resort could sell 10 million.
@OP i agree with your prediction, but i think Wii will sell around 200 million.
