The console i think that is better is:

The console im more likely to get is:

Obvuoiusly put PS3 or 360 after the underlined parts.

OVERALL THE PS3 IS BEATING THE 360 ACCORDING TO PEOPLES OPINIONS IN THIS FORUM.

Answer the questions then we will see which Wii owners like the best.

At one point I owned both. No I own neither.

3 factors

1. Games = Taste
2. Price = 360
3. Dependability = PS3

If I HAD to choose one, I would say PS3 because dependability is more important than price.

But games might swing it the other way for you.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Still trying to decide that question.

I am morally opposed to the PS3 for it's initial price tag. I never want to see a console maker try to sell us a system for $600 ever again.

And the 360 library doesn't appeal to me that much. There's an over-abundance of sports games and shooters and a lack of fuzzy, cute games that both Nintendo and Sony have been known to make.

I suppose I'll be on the fence until after this holiday at least.

I don't think I'll ever get either, but I guess the 360 is more attractive to me. I prefer the 360 gamepad, and it is a cheaper machine. Plus I actually know people with 360s, while I'm only acquainted with one PS3 owner. I do prefer PS3's exclusives, though. And I admit that it's a well-built and well-designed piece of hardware

The console I think is better is PS3.

The console that I'm more likely to get is 360.

I wouldn't get a second console but if I did I would get a 360. Simply for the game library. I don't care about any other features. I just want to play good games.

as a gaming platform: 360 easily
as a multimedia platform: it would have been ps3, because of bluray, but after getting the new tv I realized that things being in slightly better quality doesn't make that much of a difference to warrant repurchasing all of my already owned dvds just for that relatively slight adjustment.. so.. multimedia platform: neither

Exclusives on 360/PS3 that I really really want: Banjo 3 and Fable 2
Exclusives on 360/PS3 that I would like to try: MGS4 and LBP

Reliability: PS3, but with the new 360s in addition to extended warranties, this isn't much of a criteria anymore

anyways.. overall: 360 by a fair bit... i'm going to need more than Banjo 3 and Fable 2 to sway me though (outside of what is also available on PC, and that will be a smaller list in a year or so when fable 2 comes on pc)
overall: 360 by a fair bit

360 for the games.

Realistically, I'm more likely to get a HTPC, which has most of the big PS3/360 games anyway, works with 360 controllers, and I can put a cheap blu-ray drive in it.

PC + Wii owners unite.  Our last-gen dying platforms have access to nearly every 90+ rated game this gen.  Building a PC that visually outperforms PS360 is cheap and easy.    Oct 7th 2010 predictions (made Dec 17th '08)

PS3.

  • Every game I want on the 360 is also on the PS3.
  • I dont have to pay for online
  • It can play Blu-Rar movies
  • Metal Gear/Heavenly Sword
  • It has built in Wi-Fi
  • Wont break on me............well might because of dumbass FW.
  • I can play the all the PS2 games I never got to play on it.

I had your thinking, built a great PC, but I almost never play demanding PC games and I miss playing console games.

Plus, no controller feels right (to me) with most games.  Except the 360 controller with Xbox360 ports, which I could have been playing on my couch eating Totino's Pizza Rolls... but I digress... :)

For me it would be PS3, to make it clear a 20GB PS3 cause I want BC and rebuy many of the PS2 games I missed finishing, just like I did with Wii and the GC games I had to get again. But PS3 also has many of the games I want to play online like CoD4 and UT3 and plus online is free for PS3.
