Depends on you.

If you have a great PC, get the PS3.
If you love a lot of good games, get the 360.
If you like RPG's, get the 360.
For what I think are the best games, get the PS3.

It all depends on you. If I had to list my top 20 games this gen, more of them would be on the 360, but the top 3 would be on the PS3. For me, the top 3 outweigh the rest of the group. For others, the group might outweigh the top.

the expectation of God of war3 settled it for me. I had this question when I was buying a console of this gen and the bluray and exclusives settled the matter.

this is big factor for me, all my friends have PS3's, i always hear their COD4 adventures and i always felt left out, i will probably get both, i think i will get 360 this year and PS3 when god of war 3 comes out.

Depends on the games you want to play on the boards the exclusives for oboth are listed everwhere.  I prefer the 360 games.  The 360 has a bigger library with more games cause it has bene out longer

You do have to pay for live but in my opinion because its better than PSN

It can blue ray, I bought my system to play games but could be a deciding factor

Built in wi fi is nice if you need WI fi if not you are paying for something you dont need

Wont break luckily you are all set if you get the 360 Know it wont break I freely admit the old ones broke mine did (got fixed for free) but it was a pain the new ones have the 65n chip set that is much cooler so this is not an issue any more

You can play old xbox games about 95% of them, PS3 DOES NOT PLAY PS2 games whcih is why I still have not gone one they removed the Backward compatable from it

You wont go wrong with either system.

I'll be getting a 360 on Sept 7, for two game in perticular. Eternal Sonet and Mercinaries 2. (Yes I know my spelling sucks)

Right now I have no plans to get a PS3. I would give it more consideration if it had backwards compatibility with PS2 games, as I have a few PS2 games and I don't know how much longer my PS2 will hang in there.

I would buy a PS3, pretty much for sure.

1) It has Blu-ray (even though I don't have an HDTV)

2) Slightly more variety in games (I'm definitely not buying more than 1 FPS)

3) Doesn't RROD

4) Free online, and doesn't the 360 not have a wireless adapter?

5) Brighter future (most people agree that the PS3 will eventually outsell 360, hopefully leading to better games)

But more of my friends do have a 360, but I don't think it'll be enough to make me buy it.

A PSWii (WiiS3?) combo would be the best by the end of this gen IMO.

The current compatibility for Xbox 1 titles on the 360 is about 51%.  Still, a lot better than the 0% software BC currently on many PS3.

i have all 5 systems as i do with every gen but if i didnt it would be the ps3 easy


better games, better system, free online, and blu-ray. my 40 inch 1080p LCD bravia would suck without my ps3.

 You do know that the 360 doesnt have backwards Compatibility with your dieing ps2 either right?

I was a wii only (not counting my PC) and I got a PS3. I love it too. They compliment each other nicely.
