Forums - Nintendo - Some evidence that Disaster: Day of Crisis is coming pretty soon

If it's delayed further, it may be because of Wii Motion+. I mean, they are not going to announce Motion Plus first, and then say in the same breath that "Oh yeah, and because of the new peripheral, dozen of your most anticipated games have been delayed to TBA".

Then again, since this was australian rating, it could mean that PAL release is going to be the first (if Nintendo thinks this doesn't appeal to japanese public, as they did with MP3). Who knows.

That's highly unlikely, actually. From what I understand, games aren't rated until they're complete and ready for release: if they wait until Motion Plus is out, the contents will de facto change. Furthermore, it'd mean they had a game rated over nine months before its release, which doesn't strike me as very Nintendo. Besides, what would Motion Plus really add to this game (honest question, since the details about the title are still pretty vague...see Stof's post, supra).

I'm pretty exited for that game, even when there is very little known about it. And i do think that with good marketing this can be a hit, something different then Ninty's usual offerings. I hope it comes out before end of  the year.

Is there anything recent out there about this game? Videos, screens, gameplay impressions? I like the concept but we need more info.

It's rated M? Maybe that's only in Australia, because from what I've seen, I don't see Dissaster: DoC being an 'M' game. On the other hand, we know almost nothing about this game, so it could be mature.

M? Hmmm.. that's a surprise.. some on the site aren't old enough to buy the game! lol

M...I thought it was gonna be M the whole time. I mean you have some corrupt government, natural disasters, and of course violence and the occasional cursing when that happens...right?

Keep in mind that Australia has a rating system that is very different from our own: any game that's not suitable for anyone under fifteen years of age is automatically rated "M", which is the highest their system goes. So the gunplay alone is probably enough to put it over the edge down there.

If it comes out in 08 in the states, Bush will probably push for the M rating here... you know, poor government response to disasters.

Alright, Im usually silent to crap like this but I just have to speak up.

The problem with Katrina has nothing to do with the federal government but to do with Louisiana's AWFUL (now ex) state governor Kathleen Blanco and the New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin.

Amen brother.

The last I'd heard about it was in that Famitsu scan in June, which was an ad for a game which was supposed to release that month. Since then? Nada.

I hope this one comes out of nowhere at the end of the year, and turns out to be awesome.
This could be the ''hardcore-holdover'' for the Wii.

@noname: I was bringing up just the possibility. After all, it's Nintendo AU that aquired the rating, which is needed for the trailers too, and if someone forgot to tell them that it's delayed. As fos the controls, since we don't know much about the game, it's really hard to say anything about them.

So, maybe the PAL release is early to have something to compete PS360 and NTSC release later, when there's practically no new releases.

Good news, hopefully it'll be here in the states in no time.
