Forums - Nintendo - Paper Mario DS

I played the N64 version and have yet to play the GC version.
I loved Paper Mario, until the final battle which I thought was too easy.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

if it goes to DS it will probably be a remake

Paper Mario for the N64 was better than the gamecube, I thought - most of the good ideas were recycled for the GC because no one played the N64 version.

Guess that's why I couldn't play the original after I played PM2 and found it to be my all-time black horse in videogaming.

They optmialised everything in the sequel, so the rough parts of the game really stand out.

I'll try it again if it comes to DS though.

I played them both when they came out. And I couldn't go back to the first after the second. The spectator system in particular was a great addition in the second.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

I don't know if I'll buy it if it was true, I already have and played the N64 copy and the VC download...

That would be great if it were true, but I would prefer a new game altogether.

Currently Playing: Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Super Smash Bros for Wii U

Predictions:

Super Mario Galaxy will pass Super Mario 64 in total sales CORRECT!

Yes, I agree, but I'm saying the N64 was a better game in terms of innovation and technical excellence for the hardware platform. Just like SMW and SMB.

I loved the original game more. But I still love the 2nd one.

Both are so brilliant that there's no use arguing over which is better. The first one had a better ending and the points signaling the end of the game had much better pacing. However, the second one had just much better pacing altogether. But when you look at the first Paper Mario, the first chapter is so amazing that it still sticks in my mind as one of the greatest moments in gaming.

And I know that people love to play ports on the Nintendo handhelds, but I would like an original Paper Mario please.

I don't want a remake. Intelligent Systems is already making Fire Emblem DS(that's not so bad since it never released out of Japan,) but still they need to do something new.

yeah i want a NEW pm!!!!

none of that 2d-3d sh*t haha--sorry
im serious though....
