Forums - Sales - Are wii's in stock near you?

I haven't seen any Wii's in my area (PA/NJ) recently, and also no WiiFit.

Here in Genoa, Italy, a week ago at MediaWorld I saw at least 20 of each Wii, PS3 and XB360 on the shelves. Months ago Wii was in short supply, but now is quite abundant, it's quite more difficult, but not impossible, to find WiiFit, last time I checked it was sold out on average in two stores out of three.

I would also like to add that my store as a whole (the corporation as a whole rather) is barely meeting its sales projections for the Wii due to the short shipments, we actually have to travel around every week buying wiis and wiifit games from competitors if we see them.

I was joking.

I've seen Wii in stock twice in my life. Once in Colorado (January 2007) and once in California (April 2008). I bought them and sold them for profit each time.

I check every Walmart, Target and game store I go to. They are incredibly rare, and a 20% increase in production will not come close to demand in the USA.

Nobody knows how great the demand in the USA is, but I assure you it's greater than Japan and Europe.

PC + Wii owners unite.  Our last-gen dying platforms have access to nearly every 90+ rated game this gen.  Building a PC that visually outperforms PS360 is cheap and easy.    Oct 7th 2010 predictions (made Dec 17th '08)

You lot should come to the UK you would be shoked how many Wiis are around my area lol. i could go up to the city centere in the morning or evening and nearly, not all the time though, buy a wii from every game shop. The only time supply is a problem is in the holiday season, around november, december. But to be honest i have only seen the Wiis fully out of stock in my area once.

Nintendo loves the uk so much that they ship enough for us to have plentiful supply

Well, they don't love the UK that much. Wii Fit and MK are not replenished very well.

I hope Nintendo takes a hard look at what they are doing and starts to up production after their Q1 is over.  No gamer should be forced to go without a game they want.

I hope so too, and I agree completely.  An urge to play is a terrible thing to waste.  It is bad enough with work wasting so much play time without driving to ten stores looking for a game I want.  If capitalism can't solve the chronic Wii shortage, what good is it?

Nope
