Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Anyone here disappointed in NPD's Wii Fit's sales?

Im rooting for atleast 1 million units or atleast in 800,000 units. What happened?

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

{sigh}....it was supply contrained

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

supply and it didn't had a full month....

NPD don´t count Wal-Mart

I'm somewhat disappointed as well. I guess most of us were expecting it to do better after the Japanese sales... but I have yet to see it in stores.

It certainly wasn't the second coming of jesus, like some people made it out to be.

As in go buy us some coffee.

Considering it was Reggie's goal to have 1 million units available at launch;..Well yes it is dissapointing...

I think Wii and Wii Fit needs to stockpile and increase shipments THIS WEEK, not only to counter MGS4 but to make Wii Fit have the same league as MKWii and SSBB

How could a brand new franchise (hyped or not) be expected to be in the same league as the two hottest franchises from the previous generation?

Correct me if I'm wrong, Yushire, but your modus operandi is to consistently invite negative discussion surrounding the Wii, its develeopment, and its sales.  So I think the creation of this thread is a bit suspect.

Somewhat disappointed. Fortunately though, Wii Fit is not a frontloaded game. Its casual userbase is likely to ensure strong sales for the remainder of this generation. Perhaps expectations of its initial sales were a little high.
