Nice to see you back posting john.

Speaking of morning news stories, I saw one on CBS and NBC this morning. Lasted a good 5 min. where they had the anchors trying three boards out. It was hilarious to watch.

If DS can do 500K in Japan month in and month out for over a year, then Wii can do 1M a month in America.

I first thought a 1M regular month was probable after seeing March sales over 700K. After April matching March with one week less, I think it is inevitable. The first chances Wii will have at the mark are June and September this year, which I believe are both 5 week months.

And then next year, 2009, they will probably take several months to straighten out supply again, and starting in March, have the potential to sell 1M units month in and month out all the way through December.

As for 2M and 3M in the holiday months, that should be taken for granted now. As long as Nintendo can supply 3M units this December, they will sell that many. What would really be impressive is 2M in November and 4M in December, and what I really want to see is a 5M December.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

This would be insane mabey i could get my hands on 1 of those dang wiis that are sold out all over

I'd be happy with the 550k+ months. WiiFit will seriously be a heavy hitter and will spike several Nintendo games just like Mario Kart did, albeit a little less.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

I assume you mean NA bleu.

Yeah i mean NA.

can it happen? yes. will it happen? no.

nintendo wouldn't have enough Wii's to sustain sales of 1Mil. a month in the USA. with our economy in the crisis that its in and our dollar losing value, they would rather send the systems across the pond to europe where they would make twice as much off the system than here.

Thats not possible when the wii's highest demanding months have been around major software releases.

Probably 600-700k a month WW on a regular basis.

It just did 700k this month in the US alone. The Wii is still sold out too. They are currently making, and selling 1.8 million a month. That number is about to increase to 2.4 million a month with most of those new ones going to America I imagine. A million a month in the US is definatly a high end prediction, but not quite out of the realm of reality. Yours is uninformed nonsense, or fanboy drivel.

That has never ever made sense. Why would they divert extra to Europe where it is not sold out rather than America where the sale is guaranteed? You don't channel stuff a region when one is desperate for more consoles. That is just not a good buisness strategy.
