If you live in New York..

Please don't listen to him, I would not advice anybody to 'jog in Central Park'. :)

BTW, how many of you will be surprise if the next Wiifit game is called "Wiifit: Go Outside"?

Just so more people don't mix up the actual article with Smeags' commentary on it.

Here's the article itself. You'll notice there actually really isn't anything out of the ordinary in it.

Exactly. There's nothing out of the ordinary here, nothing that should cause any controversy. Heck, even my title was too much for the thread. Just a nice little read stating the obvious, yet for some reason, it's been in a state of controversy for some at GAF. Not to make this a GAF bashing thread, as there are some witty and great posters over there. But... *sigh* why must everything be taken so seriously.

@Red4ADevil

Nice! Looks like you'll be there developing Pikmin 3.

hahaha Then miyamoto wont mind making vegetable based pikmin.

I dislike the outside. It is a place of demonic terror and horrors from beyond the grave.

Well, hmmm... of course. It's only common sense isn't it? Unless it's been said by Miyamoto himself obviously. Videogames are great and all but going outside once in a while doesn't seem like a bad idea at all now does it? (Just be sure to evade those killer trees, they'll hunt you down... seriously).

Anyway, regarding the GAF comment, well there are a lot of people that take these type of quotes too seriously and try to derail the thread in which it is posted; I consider NeoGAF to be my favorite forums (Aside from a private one I attend to), but yeah just like in every other community out there the Gaming Age Forums seem to house a lot of 'strange' people lately. Neverthless I enjoy it, and listen to Miyamoto's advice kiddies! :P

 imagine what he looks like jogging in Central park...wonder if anyone would recognize him

I'd chase Miyamoto down and beat him up for implying that I'm a shut-in nerd, but I can't go more than six feet without stopping to catch my breath...

His kids are the luckiest kids in the world!!!

Doctors and Scientists regularly have to rest between periods of research because they'll burn out if they don't, not to mention the fact that I'm sure their spouses absolutely hate them not coming home until late at night.

Also, doctors take more vacations than any profession I know of. Mine takes 6 every year or so.

Then there's the fact that doctors and scientists don't do what they do for leisure whereas games are a leisure activity...

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks
