LOL I had my answer right there! I have no idea how I forgot about Enter the Matrix. Played that game religiously when Matrix Reloaded was released.

A post in another thread reminded me of Shinobi on PS2. Growing up I thought that game was well received. I certainly enjoyed the hell out of it. Still one of the more unique and satisfying ninja action games in my book. On that note, I also played the crap out of every Tenchu game I could get my hands on. I really liked ninjas growing up (still do).

That's a great mention in this thread. If I recall correctly, it was fun but a bit simplistic, and I have a hunch that some sections weren't too fun. I should really replay the game at some point though.
Sonic and the Black Knight.
While the gameplay isn't the best, this is one of the most impressive Wii titles. The story is also really great, where we can see Sonic's true heart.
And I dare to say: This is where Sonic the Hedgehog soundtrack peaked.

Nah that game is not mid. Shinobi PS2 is excellent. Simple but extremely well made.
Pretty much any Pokémon game. All of them have huge unavoidable flaws that deeply annoy me, but I'll be damned if I can stop going back to them again and again.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 on Xbox 360. You could beat the game by button mashing if you wanted, but I learned all of the combos and mixed them up and truly took the time to master the game. I still have fond memories. 61 on Metacritic.
Some of my old Master System games for nostalgia, particularly the sports games: Slap Shot, Super Kick Off, Tennis Ace
The lesser parts of my favorite series: Wing Commander 3, Phantasy Star 3, Escape from Monkey Island
Certain racing games: Sega GT, Fatal Racing aka Whiplash
PC nostalgia: Betrayal in Antara, Police Quest 3, Pools of Darkness
Any game from the Elemental series, they've all gotten middling review scores but I racked up hundreds of hours with them.
Supreme Ruler: 2020 is another one, as it's a very deep Grand Strategy game. Ultimate, 2030 and Galactic Ruler didn't do so well for me, sadly.
