We are too many. They will soon have a streamlined system with complete automation and entertainment on top. No need for us admid a man made climate disaster and people who won't take the next virus seriously after the last one. Time for a culling?

For whatever reason people insist on bashing Bill Gates but he’s right that we need to make preparation NOW for a future where AI and eventually androids will have taken many jobs. It’s up to you all. You can either vote for the right people or you can play victim.

The elites already insulate themselves with other elites. I don't think much will change...

In a perfect world we'd have AI do all the jobs keeping the world and society going and then we can do art, make movies, games music and all the human creativity things we're good at.

Or at least all work 1-2 hours a day with AI filling the rest.

Yet we've just been instead using AI to make that art and firing people and putting the workload on everyone else.

A perfect world indeed. However this world is declining to support all of us. I'd never trust an elite to be on the side of people who are in the way of their own health and now that they will soon have complete automation and even entertainment....argh, maybe I'm a cynic more than I knew. 

My point is they'd want it that way. Population reduction helps them go into a world where the masses won't cause climate havoc. They don't want and soon won't need us. 

In this dystopian scenario, the masses would charge the gates and put their heads on pikes. So I imagine, even if this were their goal, the outcome would be far more tolerable for the common man than just... go die somewhere, lil' Johnny.

There’s a big difference between being paid to defend the powerful, and being willing to participate in random slaughter.
I think you would find if the powerful pushed for that, most of the military forces would resist and suddenly they would have a powerful military force against them. Many who would otherwise be on their side would surrender arms.

No need to do that when you’re already comfortable. They’re not motivated to threaten their own position.
