Personally DD2 was pretty average but I seen people on my Friends list put in multiple hundreds of hours.

Hype or nay?

Really liked DD1 Dark Arisen and DD2 is one of the biggest let downs in recent memory. Devil May Cry 6 was canned for this. Maybe down the line when a mood hits and/or a severe price drop but it will take a lot to make me forget how much I disliked DD2.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Dark Arisen was significantly better than the base game. Dark Arisen 2 could easily be something special. Definitely looking forward to it.

Dragon's Dogma 1 and 2 were both directed by Itsuno, neither of those games launched to great acclaim. Dark Arisen 2, meanwhile, is being directed by Kinoshita, who also directed DA1, which was a huuuge improvement over base DD1.
So yes, I am excited!

Haven't played Dragon's Dogma 2 yet so thinking about picking it up when it hits Switch 2 alongside the Dark Arisen expansion next month.

I thought the first game on 360 had merit; it was uneven but it had some cool ideas.

I have been quite interested since it was announced...but once I realized it would not get physical treatment on SW2, as interested as I am, it'll be a non purchase.  =(

Not particularly hyped myself. DD2 had a very fun combat that improved upon DD1 in every way as far as im concerned, but thats really the only aspect of it that i thought was top notch. Scenario/world design and story were horrendous. A Dark Arisen expansion could improve upon that significantly - or not. Who knows with these people. So we'll see.
