Forums - Politics - AfD becomes the first far-right party to win first place in Germany since the Nazi Party

It is so funny to me that some right wing people really think the issue is left wing people.

To me far right people who vote for them are low IQ or people that just don’t understand the system. Europe was always on the right, never on the left.

Social Democrats actualy did this. Chancellor Scholz posed on one of the biggest magazines with „ We need to finally start deporting people on a large scale.“ Did it get people to the SPD? No, people thought even more that the AfD worked. Besides that Sachsen Anhalt has one of the loset immigrant numbers. Cities with higher (cologne etc.) just don’t vote for the AfD.

It’s also blank racism to think that people from specific parts of the world are problematic.

There is actually a direct negative correlation between the percentage of imigrants in a state and the amount of the vote that the AfD receive. I.e. the less immigrants in a state the greater the percentage of people voting for AfD.

This is because immigrants generally go to places where economic wealth and possibility exist. Neither exist in these poor eastern states. If there were no immigrants in Germany at all, then these Eastern States would still be poor. The issue is not about immigrants. It’s about the right policies to stimulate economic growth and create jobs. It’s about increasing education and personal attainment in qualifications. People would rather take the easy way out though, and blame the Other.

That's all good @Maluigi, but current politics are obviously not working for a lot of people and the established politics are clearly not listening for a while now. Not just in Germany, but we see this trend in all of Europe.

But let's say the SPD would take a hard stance and acknowledges that mass immigration increasingly causes problems and decides to put a stop to it, especially from sub Sahara countries. And actually does something about it. There would be an alternative for those concerned about these issues to vote for.

Here in the Netherlands we saw population grow from 16million to 18million in just a couple of years. That's all immigration. The stresses that are put on all social and security systems are immense. Affordable housing practically unobtainable. Not all immigrants are the same. e.g. People that escaped the war from Ukraine adopt very well. People from sub Sahara Africa very badly.

People are fed up. Establishment politics just waving those concerns away are the problem here.

Iam fron nederland to,so yea you understand.

Not all of them are bad noo waay my dad is a imigrant, and my step dad is turkish but many MANYY of them are.

Facts dont lie.

However its best i stay out of this topic/politics dont wanne get banned again.

Netherlands eh. The country ruled by a centre-right Conservative party from 2010 to 2024? Oh, and then a even further to the right coalition from 2024 to 2026?

Is it racism to think that some cultures mix better than others? I think this is factual. But then perhaps facts are racist.

Good that the Chancellor called it out. Now then have the Chancellor go and do it. If he proves he means what he said, then in the next election he will get many votes.

I'd like to add that I never said left or right now did I. I'm talking about establishment politics versus non establishment politics. Left or right is not the problem here.

It's not about right or left wing. It's about establishment politics and looking for an alternative, giving a protest vote even, if the establishment stops listing to people.

If you do not understand that, perhaps you should not call those voters low IQ people.

Yeah, but the other dude literally said that it's all the fault of the Lelft who have been destroying Europe for years.

People in Germany prefer conservative politics and it worked great for the longest time. The problem is that the Merkel CDU drifted a lot to the left but people stayed just as conservative as they used to be. So CDU lost more and more of its voters while other parties gained voters (AfD the most obviously). This resulted in CDU forming a coalition with a left party (SPD) to stay in power so naturally, they couldn't implement conservative policies.

The problem is, outside of the CDU there was no other party to vote for (and that has a chance to get into the parliaments) that stands for more right values.
Also the SPD of old was also far more right than they are today.

The german politicians have definitely failed on immigration politics and energy politics, which is part of what is driving this. It's unfortunate that german voters don't at least have something a bit more normal to turn to. Banning LGBT flags, Auschwitz student trips and mandating Russian classes in school doesn't seem like a good solution for anything, neither does rebuilding North Stream.
As someone who comes from a country that has been victim to the powerful german war machine more than once, it is also a bit uncomfortable to hear these people say germans should be proud of said military accomplishments.

Mass immigration is not traditionally either a leftist or a conservative thing. The problem was that the established parties all took on a libertarian and globalist mindset. So in the end there was no longer any party that stood for conservative values, or even for workers rights if you agree that a huge influx of immigrants will push wages down and compete for low skilled jobs. Except the so called far right parties, whose values are really just what the other parties used to be.
