Hi.
It's kind of funny that i have been a gamer my whole life and yet i dont really have any friends that share the same passion as i do about it.
so i can never really talk about subjects like this, they just dont understand it sooo..it's all up to you now!
Since sony announced that their ending physical games i have been on a little crusade(can i call it that?)buying spree of getting a physical addon for the ps5 and buying a shitton of physical games, however now that my you could say angry emotions have calmed down i have started to think about it a lot more if its even worth it?
My launch ps1 still works perfectly fine, however by all the gods of gaming in noo way do i see my ps5 last 25-30 years from now.
One of the biggest shocks i got in recent weeks is to find out the ssd that holds the ps5 OS is SOLDERT on the board, when that ssd dies, its bricked, nothing can be done about it.
As someone who collects games and tries my utter most best to maintain all my console's until my end i feel it doesnt matter what i will do,ps5 wont last me 20years,let alone 30 or 40.
I now feel a sense of regret, spending about thousand euro these last month or so on physical games/ssd,maybe i should have spend it on buying some cool ps2 games, or 1, or xbox or buy a gamecube with skies of arcadia and just....just..well...buy ps5 games.d..d..d..d..digital(on sale ofc)
I'am verry conflicted.
And yea i know almost 40 year old dude crying about a piece of plastic heared that hundreds of times dont worry i know! Haha.
Soo, is collecting for the ps5 even worth it?
