Look at it this way, that huge spending you just did can be returned to you at some point if you'd like by selling the games. I have spent well over a thousand dollars lifetime on PlayStation digital games, and I'll never have a way to get that money back. I have some physical games too, but I'm mostly digital on PS5.
Any more physical games you get I would highly recommend focusing mainly on games that are complete on the disc. Off the top of my head, I think the only PS5 discs I have that requires a download are Gran Turismo 7 and Jedi Survivor. I don't think any PS4 discs I have required internet.

If you ever get banned from PSN, PlayStation shuts down, or such you will still be able to play the physical games (that don't require internet). Sony bricking consoles is extremely rare, as bans for an online account are usually sufficient when you break their terms of service.
