What are your thoughts. Reports are it doesn't break your save file so you can dive in and get through the early game in preparation. 

I'm 30 hours deep into my main save so this is a real treat, I'll be half way through the game by then so I'm gonna pace myself and not advance too much, do all the boring Platinum trophies and what not and then I get the back end of the game, Skelige and the expansions all remastered. All in preparation for the Songs of the Past Expansion.

I have been looking for an opportunity to replay it but I'll wait until the new expansion is close to launch. It looks like the remaster might fix some things around gameplay and equipment that feel a bit dated, so that's good.

I never did play the dlc, after beating the main game when it came out. I'll probably wait until the new dlc comes out in 2027 and play through the whole thing at that time.

This is actually awesome but I'm still probably gonna wait and replay it later, even though it gets me a little tempted to do it now

I will play this after I beat gta 6next year. Will be my first time playing a Witcher game. I hope I finish at least the base game until ff7 part 3 releases

What I'm hoping is they'll keep option to install classic Witcher 3 (patch 1.32) before it got Next-Gen update, like there currently is on Steam.

I hope so too but I'm not confident. 

Jesus the visuals are insane. I'm playing right now, the next gen update and it looks like a gen leap. I wonder if it'll be consistent cause this is one assume game (DLC too) to overhaul with such visuals as this... but for free? How.

How deep do you go? The Witcher 3 could be a 70 hour game on easy mainlining it. I got deep on the highest difficulty and do everything at about 180-200 hours before the DLC which adds on another 50 hours. If you mainline it with a dabble in sides and skip the DLC you could fit it into the space between the remaster drop and GTA6 but I'd say it's best to play this game on the second highest difficulty at least and do as much side content as it takes to keep you leveled to the difficulty.

Could you fit 100-125 hours into 8 weeks? Cause that would be a really decent playthrough if you are looking at just mains, some sides and DLC the same. That's like 14 hours a week if I have my math right.  

Probably best to leave it till a week before launch and do white Orchard and dabble a bit into Velen, like 10 hours and you got the game going and then be wowed. It's what I would have done if I could go back and put off my current playthrough. You'll be able to notice the upgrades and appreciate them that much more to have an idea of what the game is right now.
