Zombie army and strange brigade were also good ports. Rebellion are good developers.

Good question, and one I feel I'm not qualified to properly answer as there's too many key ports on say SNES and Gamecube that I haven't played.

For me personally, based on what I've played, I found the Wii version of RE4 to be the definitive version of IMO the best game ever made thanks to its incredible IR-powered pointer aiming.

On Switch, Sniper Elite 3/4 were not only some of the best ports on the platform technically but the gyro controls really took the sniping to the next level where you actually had to hold your hands steady and carefully dial in your shot.

Ace Combat 7 on Switch is not only one of the best looking games on the console, but its locked 30fps is arguably preferable to the unstable uncapped performance on PS4/XBO.

Alien Isolation likewise one-ups the "big boy" consoles in image quality due to benefitting from more modern AA, and is a graphical showpiece for the Switch.

Hell yeah, loved those ones are well, very fun AA games that were incredibly well ported.

Really hope they hurry up and get Sniper Elite 5 and Resistance onto Switch 2, those are two of my absolute most wanted third party ports.

Definitive port imo is Deus Ex Human Revolution on the WiiU, that version was by far the best version of the game with the utilization of the screen.

Street Fighter Alpha II on SNES was pretty crazy as it was effectively a Gen 5 game ported to a Gen 4 console.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas on Switch incorporates Starfox into the story while beign technically rock solid as well.

Dragon Quest 11S basically rebuilds the entire game to Switch specs while even improving it in some ways like adding an orchestral sound track.

Played both those games on my series S and to be honest there's nothing there that suggests these can't be ported to Switch 2. In fact I reckon they could do downgraded versions for Switch 1 that would run OK.

I guess historically Contra for NES takes that number 1 spot.

Out of recent ones, I would go with Star Wars: Outlaws, as most demanding current gen title that runs and looks well on SW2.

Okami HD is greatly elevated by the touch screen controls on the Switch, so if we're looking at it from a definitive version of a particular game perspective, that would be a contender.

Phantasy star online epo 1 and 2 and skies of arcadia on the gamecube

I could say the same about Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on the Wii U, just it's loading times disqualify it from being a really superb port.

Devil May Cry 3 on Switch

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
