im the only person who gave it a 1, everyone else seems to like the ps5 which was definitely a surprise to me.

and yes ps6 is a well deserved 0 so far, but we are still early. maybe sony can think of something to make us like this console more. surely there is something they could do.

Since I haven't played any playstation console beyond the PS2 and my contact with the brand has always been kinda distant, I can't propely participate in this ranking, so I'll just rank the ones I played without elaborating on them.

PS1 - 8/10
PS2 - 3/10

PS1: 9/10. Brilliant console, a big part of my childhood and how I came to love games so much as a medium.

PS2: 7/10. Solid, but for me it didn't quite have the same magic as PS1. I preferred the Xbox that gen.

PS3: 9/10. While it got off to a slow start, but the end of its life it had a ton of awesome games.

PS4: 9/10. Granted, it's early days as I'm still exploring this one's library (missed out on owning one last gen) but so far I am having a great time with it.

PS5: 6/10. Works well as a third party box, but for my tastes it's first party lineup was disappointing.

PS1 is a 10 because it created something out of nothing and won an entire generation, basically as a start-up. PS2 is a 10 because PS2. PS3 is a 7 because it had really good single player games, but it gets docked for a super chuggy, less-than-adequate UI, horrible online service compared to XBL, and for most of its ports being inferior to the 360. PS4 gets a 9 for returning to form, but gets docked for paywall online and no hardware BC. PS5 gets a 7. It's a great system, but it has some bugs, and its lineup just never really go up and running, imo.

your ranking seems to mimic mine aside from ps4. i think i am going to have to revisit that one. i have lots of games for it i still have never played, but are at the very least familiar with.

PS1 - An almost perfect console. It's only problem was the lack of the great first party games. 9,5/10
PS2 - Amazing console with an amazing library and it also had full BC, but it was behind the Dreamcast and Xbox in on-line gaming and behind even the N64 in couch multiplayer with only 2 controller ports from the get go. 8/10
PSP - An amazing machine that lacked great first party games and was full of inferior versions of console games. 7,5/10
PS3 - Too expensive at the beginning and then it abandoned PS2 BC. But it had a great library, 7/10
Vita - The only abandoned console by one of the big 3 since the Virtual Boy. Had reasonable third party games and good indie support. 4/10
PS4 - PS back on top. Amazing library and amazing support. 9/10
PS5 - Great specs but very few exclusives. 6/10
PS6 - Too soon to judge, but no PS had such a hard job. Outside of the Vita, every other PS console will probably end up better than it.
