Buy physical games that still exist.

As for modern games after 2028, except to support some indie games on PC, just go back to watching them on youtube.

Until the PS4 my reality, which is still the same for many here in Brazil, was to game on last gen hardware, I was still playing stuff mainly on my PS1 in early 2010.

Since 2016 I was able to start getting in with the times and have modern consoles and play games even in the same day they release, it has been great, but if I'm not needed anymore, then so be it.

I won't run out of games to play, I have 20 gaming systems and over 300 physical games right now, plus more I still have to buy over the years.

It's a real shame, potentially watching franchises I love releasing games and missing them, or even watching them die if the industry implode with so much greed getting people away from it, but well, life has never been fair to begin with.

I did the best I could to support the industry and the games I love, but seems like it simply wasn't enough.

Retro and backlog. I'm fortunate to have all the old systems I care about with them hardware or soft moded....so i can play any game i want from NES-PS3 era. As for modern games I'll continue to play and support the physical releases (on PS5/Switch) that have come out or will come out until it dies. I rarely have fomo unless its a new fighting game but if I need to play a new digital only game then I'll wait for a steam sale or it to show up on GOG on PC. After 30 years I'm done with PlayStation once they drop physical games. Same will be done once Nintendo does the same.

Exclusively retro. I have gathered quite a backlog over the years. I'll always be on the lookout for games I missed out on. There are more than enough games released that would keep me occupied. 

I'll stick with Nintendo as long as they support physical. I'm done with PlayStation once they stop making discs, and assuming Xbox does the same for the Helix, well, I'm done with them as well. Past that, all the money I'll save on no longer supporting PlayStation & Xbox I can spend on used physical games from the past 40+ years, as well as other media like movies & music.

Honestly? I’m already on PC and off PlayStation, but if ever a big new Astro releases for instance then yeah I’ll rent a PS6. Regardless of whether I can physically own the game or not… though it would be cool to own the physical game.

I think I will play more retro games and only buy Nintendo consoles going forward. I wont like when they go all digital as well, but I just cant miss out on new entries in franchises Ive loved for 30-40 years at this point.

I will not buy full priced games anymore, because physical retains its value.

For Digital I would at a Max pay Eur40 and only for a game I really really want. So I'll wait for discounts which could take years.

I’ve started building up my GOG collection. If a digital future is where we’re heading, at least I know I own these digital games.

And of course buying on card Switch 2 games.
