Its all physical, they are stopping making BR discs

Even if that's the case, how long before the majority follows suit? XB has clearly been headed that direction for a decade. Recently GTA. Now SNY.

I can see most publishers after 2028 going digital only, and I can also see Physical Editions becoming a special very expensive extra. One where the disc is probably empty of data and just has artwork on the top.

Tho ive personally been moving to 100% digital for a while now, i hate this. Its following trends of anti consumer practices.

Big holidays in NA, so either it will get covered up by that, or it will give people a chance to talk about it and SNY can gauge the reaction after people have found consensus.

With all the rumors of the hardware troubles for next gen, makes sense in a way for SNY to be doing everything they can to save money. Assuming those savings would be put towards making next gen as cheap as possible at launch.

Good. About damn time. The digital to Phyiscal ratio on PlayStation has been 4 to 1 for about a few years now.
Microsoft must be salivating now that Sony has taken all the bad press and they can follow suit.
Steam had this since their inception and no one bats an eye.
And for those that are crying about this, You must be glad that it took them this long to go fully digital.

Writing has been on the wall for a long time, especially with how physical sales keep shrinking each financial report from Sony.

Granted, I've never considered Sony actually announcing no more physical. End of an era.

Though they do mention still getting games from retailers. I wonder if this is simply the code in a box situation, or something else a little different.
