Sure was a Persona 6 teaser if we ever saw one.
Looking like they're going into another spooky/horror murder mystery on this one(if that's what it ends up being) or maybe about myths/legends/rumors and such ?
Anyway, this does not sound like a game coming next year at the very least so fans should aim their patience cuz it'll be tested like never before !

The financially smart thing to do, especially once that's out for a year or two at least. I can't wait that long. While I never played Persona games until 2021, I've been waiting for 6 for that long. And I don't want to wait longer, it will likely be a preorder or launch day purchase for me.

It's either that or they're waiting to announce it also for the Switch 2 at it's own Direct OR they really just want to find an excuse to sell the port to us later at full price because f*** us indeed !

It could be that they are planning to stagger it for whatever reason even ignoring a pricing opportunity and they didn't want to announce it right away because that might imply a simultaneous launch date, even when it isn't.
Lego Batman was announced for all platforms when it was unveiled and yet Switch 2 is not getting it until September.
It also could be down to discussions with Nintendo, like you said.

Capcom and Square Enix announced Switch 2 versions of their games day and date with other versions, as did Koei Tecmo with Wo Long 2.
Skipping Switch 2!!? Damn, I think they really want to double dip Ninty fans.
I really don't like announcement trailers, they always give off the impression the game is still many years away :(. P5R is my all time favorite RPG, so I was really really hoping to see something game related. Maybe we will see something before the end of the year.

I been waiting 10 years for Persona 6 but I also waited like 15 for Shenmue III. Still waiting on ZOE3 and VanQuish 2 lol.
