It's either that or they're waiting to announce it also for the Switch 2 at it's own Direct OR they really just want to find an excuse to sell the port to us later at full price because f*** us indeed !

It could be that they are planning to stagger it for whatever reason even ignoring a pricing opportunity and they didn't want to announce it right away because that might imply a simultaneous launch date, even when it isn't.

Lego Batman was announced for all platforms when it was unveiled and yet Switch 2 is not getting it until September. 

It also could be down to discussions with Nintendo, like you said.
