LMFAO, so did everyone else.  Everyone saw this one coming from a mile away.

I am with Bralod, I am surprised/happy it wasn't more than $50.

I said exactly $499.99, it'll be the same price most people paid for a year ago, they just aren't going to get Mario Kart now as their consequence for waiting a year+. You snooze, you lose. Maybe they'll bring that bundle back for Black Friday shoppers, but who knows.

Lol.  $500 for a console and a full-fledged game isn't the same price as $500 without a game.  I swear, you are just odd.

Either way, doesn't impact me, I got two S2 units in the house.

Anybody who wants any form of gaming hardware, now is the time, it is only getting worse.

It might be time for me to buy a Switch 2. At $450 it didn't feel like there was enough games to justify the cost. But with the increase this is the best I am going to get. Right now I'd buy Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza, and Star Fox once that comes out.

Yes that's what I said, for waiting a year your "prize" is you get no Mario Kart bundled for the same price as you will pay now going forward in September, I believe that's saying the same damn thing.

This is all good for me, I invested in memory companies like Micron months ago and have made a small fortune, most people missed it and now would have to invest at a high peak and take the risk of it potentially falling.

Personal opinion, for what it is worth, DK is amazing.  Fantastic game.  I played it twice, almost back-to-back.  Totally worth it.  Anybody who loves platformers would enjoy it.

@trunkswd

I second it.

Donkey Kong Bananza is a pretty good game, definitely the best game to pick for NS2 right now.

I prefer more open world platformers like Mario 64 and Mario Odyssey over more linear platforms like Mario Galaxy or 3D World.

DK is more mario 64, not galaxy.  you have worlds (not massively open) but have 30+ bananas in each, you can collect in most any order.  Sounds like your thing.

Edit

DK also has outfits, but unlike Odyssey they actual have varying benefits, meaning changing outfits impacts the game.

I just realized the japan only NS2 is now more expensive than the japan only PS5...

I've seen some gameplay for DK and yeah it seems more like what I am into. Another thing with the Switch 2 is I will likely replay several Switch 1 games I own as they should all run better and at higher resolutions.
