So I’ve clocked around 30 h so far in this game and I’m still not bored. So I feel I got my moneys worth out of it.

Will be interesting to see how much time I’ll spend in the game in the end.

I'm 10+ hours in according to my Switch's timer, it is creeping up my list of most played Switch 2 titles steadily. The just "one more raid" effect is real.

Spoiler!
The "break the ice wall" level gimmick was a cool little thing, enjoyed that.

Also holy shit, paired with some level 50 guys on one of the raids and holy shit it the speed and efficacy with which they cleaned house was truly impressive. I felt like the little cousin who gets to hold the controller and pretend he's "helping" lmao

Today I saw one of our supermarket chains (I guess our small-scale equivalent to Walmart & Co) had the game physically at even slightly below the E-shop price (roughly 8% cheaper; with shipping still 2,5% cheaper than the E-shop), so I swiped the credit card and am now happily awaiting the shipment. I have had an interested eye on the Splatoon series since the WiiU original, but never got around to play. Now finally is the time.

Nice, hope you like it, let us know how you go.

Up the second last level so gonna sit down and beat it tonight.

The bosses are a real highlight so far, so I'm hoping the final one will live up to the high standard set so far.

It's also really impressive that the game never drops under 60fps during gameplay given how absolutely insane things get late in the game with the stupendous amount of enemies, explosions, and effects all filling the screen at once.

Is it just I who suck or did the difficulty take a sharp upward turn once you reach the end game? :P

Yeah most end game content forces the survivalist difficulty so if you've playing on Normal like I was, it's definitely a big spike.

The arena with the one smallfry is BRUTAL on super spicy :P

Ohhh there is a super spicy too ... I'd been playing on normal and would guess I am 30 to 50% through and was thinking of raising the difficulty.  Even the spicy levels were more grindy than difficult (at least the first boss one). Bear in mind after reading that that I have thousands of hours in Splatoon multiplayer.

I was pretty disappointed that local play requires a second copy of the game.

I am still enjoying the game and even though local requires a second copy I still feel like it has been a good value (even if the Wife never gets hooked and doesn't finish it). If she got hooked and wanted to play together I would plop down another 50 bucks.

While I do find the end game challenging it’s challenging in the way that I become more determined to try again (and again and again) when I fail raids. It’s not the ”challenging because of cheating or poor design” challenging.
