Elden Ring or Tears of the Kingdom?

Elden Ring 20 44.44%

Tears of the Kingdom 24 53.33%

hmm… I’d say equal. 1 2.22%

Total:45

ER wins here

Much better combat, boss design, level design, art direction (ER is stunning), better and more memorable story and world

So rich in things to explore and play styles I have over 600 hours on it, this is about 5 times my play count of TOTK

It's gotta be... The Witcher 3.

Y’know… The Witcher 3, Elden Ring, and Pokopia are three games I’m really hoping to get like a few hundred hours plugged into some day. Whenever I’ve decided I need a break from playing a new game every other week, maybe this’ll be a project of mine.

You can easily weave in and out of The Witcher 3 over a few months, people act like it's some gargantuan task but it's actually designed with little sessions in mind to and works really well if you dip in for small sessions a few times a week. You don't need to devout hours and hours to get the core out of it but you do need to make sure your difficulty setting is challenging you enough to make the systems come together cause the game is substantially better when you need to prepare for fights, Monster Hunter style. Just expect to get sucked in regardless, it's a matter of your own will power, not the design of the game being something you need to play for multiple hour long sessions.

It's really not a sweaty game. I'd go as far to say Mario or the new Zeldas are sweatier.

Witcher 3 is a great game too, and for me much preferable to Elden Ring, but if I had to narrow it down I'd say TOTK just edges it out over Witcher 3 thanks to its more dynamic gameplay, where all kinds of crazy emergent stuff can happen through the insane amount of freedom and interactivity.

The Witcher 3 is amazing, but you really should watch something to learn about what happens in 1 & 2 to fully enjoy the story.
Imho, It felt like jumping in a moving train, but nothing that some YouTube couldn't fix.

The roleplay, side quests, narrative, world building in general, it's all top tier! I'm not big fan of the combat, but there's some truly amazing stuff in this game!

Imho, another game that is better than BoTW. There's better narrative and story in 10h of The Witcher 3 than in 100h of BoTW.

Also, the Gwent is great!
