Never heard of Mario. Anyway where is Xenoblade? I hope to see a Gears Reloaded port on Switch 2 and Ninja Gaiden II Black/4

I'm honestly not ready, and DK Bananza needs some breathing room.

Wasn't Donkey Kong made by the Odyssey team?
Who is working on this 3D Mario now then?

Pokemon in 2027 probably means 3D Mario this holiday, I'd also say a Zelda announcement this year for possibly next year given that it's been four years since TOTK released.

TotK will turn 3 this May, not 4.

Still far too early for a new 3D Zelda.

But what about these X's posts, is there some famous information leaker that I am missing?

As infamous as SwitchForce might be for his “clickbait” YouTube content, he’s been 100% on-the-mark in his reports/rumors/leaks over the past 12 months. If he’s saying it’s coming, then it’s very likely coming.

EDP 8 was rumored (back in 2021) to have been split into two teams: 3D DK, 3D Mario. If you do a headcount in the DKBananza staff roll, you’ll notice that a big chunk of Mario Odyssey team is missing. No doubt this game has been in development since as early as 2018.

Zelda TotK development wrapped up in March 2022. Five years is the longest gap between any mainline entry, so it’s not unreasonable to expect a 2028 (maybe 2027?) release. If Nintendo does need until 2029/2030, however, then I think we should expect a major remake dropping in the meantime, which would be revealed this or next year.

Probably the same team/s, there was almost an 8 year gap between Odyssey & Bananza which is waaaayyyy longer than the gap between any of their other major releases.

Also, looking at their release schedule, they have always been able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Could be a new team.

It's either that or Smash Bros.
Those are the only two that immediately come to mind that I'd consider a BIG Holiday Nintendo title that are due.

Luigi's Mansion 3 sold over 14.5 million units. That's not Mario or Smash big, but 3 is over 6 years old.

Luigi's Mansion 4 could be the holiday title if 3D Mario isn't ready until 2027. Smash seems like it's going to take until at least 2027, if not more like 2028-2029.
