Forums - Nintendo - 2026 - What Nintendo IPs that skipped Switch will come to Switch 2?

Dr. Mario. The last entry in the series was that failed mobile game that shut down after 2 years, and the one before that was on the 3DS over 10 years ago. Unless the games sell that terribly, I'm pretty sure we'll get a new entry sooner or later.

Dr. Mario is low-budget and has had many installments. I too feel it is inevitable to make a comeback.

Dr. Mario - 1990

64 - 2001

Online RX - 2008

Express - 2008

Dr. Luigi - 2014

Miracle Cure - 2015

World - 2019

The first Dr. Mario got ports and stuff and took a long time to get a sequel. World could be followed up on Switch 2 in 2026-2031 with a new title.

I'd kill just for a HD collection of Sin n Punishment. Esp the Wii game.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

I doubt it happens. But nintendogs should return.

A new Donkey Kong Country game would be nice!

Would love a new Kid Icarus Uprising, but that's unlikely unless Sakurai is not working on the next Smash or if Smash skips a gen.
I'm probably alone but I'd also love a new NintendoLand.

Aside from that, nothing comes to mind immediately.

One of Nintendo's biggest IPs that's dead. Even Wii Sports evolved into Switch Sports.

It seems like an obvious mobile game. Switch 2 could make sense as well with mouse controls, a built-in mic, etc.

You arent alone lol

I just know Nintendo is holding a Dual Screen functionality for Switch 2 and will drop it anytime now. NintendoLand and Game&Wario must return

I maintain that the dual screen support was a potentially good gimmick they just didnt get the games for it out on time. Or explain it properly.

I think they got everything released between Switch 1 and Switch 2. Rhythm Heaven is the last one I wanted, but it's great we got new Mario Kart, Donkey Kong 3D and Metroid Prime last year. Surprised when they released Clubhouse games, Brain Training, Switch Sports... loved those touch generation games.

Now I want my single player Splatoon and the next installments of Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion, Mario and Zelda.
