Forums - Sony - Playstation State of Play September 24, 2025

I guess I'm just no longer part of the audience Sony is catering to, because other than Nioh 3 and the Deus Ex remaster, there was literally nothing else I found even slightly interesting in that SoP.

That was an alright showing. The highlight was of course seeing Wolverine being as gory as it should be. I really wonder how much longer Insomniac can keep up this insane release schedule since it'll be their 4th new game this decade which is quite the contrast compared to Naughty Dog. Other than that though it was just alright as I said and it feels like it's been quite a while at this point since the last Playstation presentation that was more than just alright to decent. Perhaps the big event for the PS6 reveal will be the next one to stand out in a big way since it seems they might be done with full on Playstation Showcases for the rest of the PS5's life.

At this point I am willing to pay reward money for proof that Media Molecule is safe and actively working on their next project...

I think if we don't hear about them between now and this point next year, we should start to worry. We all know that they are one of Playstation's more avante garde studios. So they probably won't announce anything until it's cohesive enough to present.

It was a pretty good SoP. Wolverine looks awesome. Mega Man and Proto Man in Sonic Racing CrossWorlds was also a nice surprise.

That Wolverine game is just awful, it doesn't feel like Wolverine at all.
Its shame that was the game i was looking forward the most, now only that Black Panther game left that can be good and Iron Man, if they dont cancel it.

Also Soros is soooooooooo good, as big fan of Returnal and Housemarque in general, that is the best game from this State of Play.

You think so? The ultra-gore trailer for Wolverine reminds me a lot of the movie "Logan", which I watched at the theaters with a friend back in 2017.

Yep, while game look rly good, combat just feel somewhat off, as someone here said, its practically Spiderman with gore.

Ofc its to early so say for sure, but it rly didnt feel like Wolverine to me. Just my first impression.
