If I buy it it will be on PS5. But I find my self drifting further and further away from gaming, still have the remakes to try before. I think Switch 2 when I eventually buy it will be the last dedicated gaming system I ever buy.

PS5. I'm surprised to see Switch 2 leading in the poll by a huge margin. I thought resident evil games would be more popular on PlayStation or PC

Welcome to VGChartz!

Depends if there is a PSVR2 version. With PSVR2-Mode: PS5
Without PSVR2-Mode: PC (which includes the Steam Deck... the separation in the poll doesn't make sense).
PS5 is my all purpose system and the only way to play for me. But I'm not gonna buy scary games.

Beyond the fact that Nintendo users are well represented here, there's also the fact that a lot of us here just bought a Switch 2 and so are keen to take it to the track so to speak.
Being able to play a game like this on a portable system in a relatively intact form is also has an appealing novelty to it.

Bunch of scaredy cats here :p 'Horror' on a mobile screen lol.
It should be good on TV though, and actually horror games benefit from a bit lower resolution. Let your mind fill in the details instead of razor sharp visuals and high fps. The last horror game that actually engaged me on a screen was Outlast and the scariest were the low res night views:
The sharper / clearer horror games got, the less they 'scared' me. Then RE7 on PSVR1 revived horror games for me. Not just for the immersion, very low res as well.
RE8 and RE4 on PSVR2 are already far higher res, looks amazing, less scary :/
Same in cinema, Blair Witch Project was a big success. The less you see, the more scary!
Therefore Switch 2 version on a big OLED TV is likely more scary than the PS5 Pro version on the same TV imo. Assuming there are no cutbacks on the sound on Switch 2 (no reason for that)
Switch 2, but that'll likely wait until we actually get reviews of the overall tone we get with this game. RE7 was more of the kind of claustrophobic horror I prefer of the series whilst RE8 stands to near the problems I had with the more action oriented games of the series.
