I'm going to start a thread of our awesomest, wealthiest and *most *bestest  president ever.

He is not anti war and never was.  Military spending got massive boosts in both of his terms.  If you are anti war you cut the military budget.  He also used way more drone strikes than Obama did in his first term.

He currently wants to start a war with Venezuela and Iran.   

TBH, I haven't tracked him or kept up with his politics since last time he was in. All I know is he is hone really evangelical and leaning more right than ever. I only just figure he is antiwar cause of what he done with Kim last time and trying to make peace with Putin and Zelynski. 

He claims to be an isolationist with regards to the Ukraine thing, but then has involved himself in Iran and so forth so it's just more double standards.  He actually changed the name of the Dept of Defense to the Dept of War.........which doesn't sound like someone that is anti-war to me.  

I used to give him the benefit of the doubt (and I still kinda do cause he is anti war and actually trying to fix things on that end) but I realise now is he really is a child in a suit with nuclear codes who thinks business like dealings can solve political problems. In a way I suppose he is right, these things could be transactional to avoid conflict but he really lost me with the shit show with the Ukrainian president a few months back. Tact is not his thing, he has no foresight and can not plan anything past the immeadiate future and he just looks yo be doing well but is constantly kicking many cans down the road so he can blame the problems he didn't fix or caused on the next admistration. The patterns in this behaviour are now obvious in his second run.

Anyway, I have taken vow not to get involved in the news or politics but just wanted to add my two cents quickly here.

He is not anti-war. He is trying to turn North and South America into the American Empire and is attacking Venezuelan nationals under the pretext of "drugs," has threatened annexation of Canada, Greenland (which would be an act of war against Denmark, and by extension, the EU of which Denmark is a member), and Panama. He also threatened a war to reclaim the Bagram base in Afghanistan, partly because it is near China's western frontier, and partly because he wants Afghanistan back (never mind that he negotiated the terms of the Afghanistan pullout. 

Trump is the consummate chicken hawk. No member of the Trump family has ever served in the military since Trump's grandfather fled from Bavaria to the U.S. to avoid military service. This was under Kaiser Wilhelm I, not Hitler.  Barron certainly won't be on the front lines with a M4 carbine if the shit hits the fan and the U.S. goes to war. 

This is who Trump has always been. Many Americans in the Northeast, especially Trump's native New York. and in the Western states have known who Trump really was since the 1980s and are gobsmacked that evangelicals are so infatuated with him. The people who knew what he was before he hosted a bad game show, knew he was dangerously incompetent. 

So much dystopian fiction begins with an American president who rises to power on right-wing populism and grievance and then tries to go to war with the entire world, only to find out that no amount of military might can overcome being outnumbered by over 8 billion people.
