I just uploaded a new video yesterday!

As someone who owned a Master System back in 1990, I wanted to do a video about games that still worth playing on the platform today.

I've purposely left out any games that are ports of arcade games or Mega Drive ports. Because why in 2025 would you play Afterburner on the Master System when you have access to the arcade game via emulation?

A couple of these like Kung Fu Kid are really in there because it's my list and my games, and I just enjoy Kung Fu Kid even though it is a bit crap!

In fact, what Master System games do you like even though that objectionally they are a bit cack?

Sony want to make money by selling art, Nintendo want to make money by selling fun, Microsoft want to make money.

To celebrate Super Mario's 40 years, this guy had the idea of remastering the original Super Mario World through a ROM Hack. I really like the result.

I won't directly share my channel but some videos that were popular and some videos that weren't popular. Not sure why I get so much views for Death Stranding content.

And unpopular videos.

I have a channel with some memes that I create to post on reddit... some of them have hundreds of thousands of views, but I'm a little embarrassed to post them here.

Here the link for my channel: https://www.youtube.com/@GustavoValimChannel

I have another one that I test some games on my Desktop PC and on my Notebook, so I'll post below

I finished Super Mario World Redone yesterday on a livestream. Unfortunately, I couldn't beat the special world due to a very weird bug at the end of a level.

The extra levels were a bit strange too, it seems like the version I downloaded still needed some bugfixes.

Thanks @BraLoD for joining in!

Sorry I couldn't interact much, I was playing Genshin at the time lol

Didn't want to bother you with that in the chat, but are using OBS to stream? It was only giving me up to 480p to choose from, even as in my phone, which is pretty big, 480p was looking pretty good to be honest.

Yes, it's OBS Studio.

The stream is 480p max, but mostly because of my previous internet connection, with was very poor and couldn't handle higher resolutions. I switched to a better connection, but never bothered to change it, because I think 480p is good enough for SNES games like Super Mario World.

I might change it in the future, though.

The image quality was pretty decent, but yes I would suggest at least offering up to 720p considering people might be watching on big screens.

I'm glad to hear you got better internet speeds now, I know how it is, was using internet so freaking slow up until 2020, it's awesome to be able to download stuff in reasonable time and watching stuff past 360p lol

Here's a full playthrough of Super Mario World: Adventure in Forest Land. I did 100% of the hack. All secret exits and levels.

I enjoyed it a lot, even if almost every stage is forest-themed. Still, a lot of gameplay mechanics to be explored and enemies.

I make YouTube videos and they are the bollocks!

Here are a sample of them:

You can't use a garbage AV to HDMI converter on original hardware going to a flat panel tv and then say that emulation is the exact same thing as original hardware. That crappy converter is adding input lag and giving your TV a hard time in a million different ways. Your OG hardware NES setup pic @4:22 is a terrible setup.

That being said some emulator and emulation devices are amazing and just as good as original hardware. Analogue branded devices, Retro AVS, Mister, and some PC Emulators running to a CRT are fantastic.

The Tink 4K has a million settings that really let you dial in the look of the scanlines. Trying to see how it looks online is pointless. You need to see it in person. The same can be said for a good CRT. Tink 4K is in no way a needed device but a quality scaler like a $133 or 115 Euro OSSC absolutely is needed. You can run cables from multiple consoles to it and if you have 5 or more systems then it's roughly $26 per system to have a much better experience than a crappy $20 "HDMI Converter".

People who play on cheap $50 clone consoles, Phones, and 20,000-games-in-one devices are getting a much worse experience than even the simplest emulator on a PC from a decade ago. And people that claim that those devices are the same as OG hardware are just as willfully ignorant as the people who claim you NEED a Tink 4K to have a good experience.

Anyway, S-Video cables + a 13 inch CRT will run you $35 and be 90% as good as any other expensive setup.
