Surprised there's no update for Mario wonder. Otherwise this is cool this see. After I burn out on fast Fusion I'll probably restart Odyssey

I knew I've made the right choice waiting on Link's Awakening all this time and I plan to buy it and play it at some point after getting a Switch 2.

It's definitely not unplayable on the Switch 1 as it's not a twitch-shooter.

Probably my favorite game on the console.

Yeah I had a lot of fun with Link's Awakening and Echoes of Wisdom on Switch 1; the framerate was occasionally irritating but not enough to spoil the experience. That said, I can definitely see the appeal of playing it at a locked 60fps on Switch 2.

Regarding Mario Wonder, I imagine that's getting a full on Switch 2 version with additional content like Mario Party Jamboree and Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Assuming they offer a $10 upgrade like they did for the Zelda games, I kinda hope they don't make a Switch 2 version. But only because I sold Wonder after getting 100% on it, and I'd be kind of annoyed.

The double buffer thing in Echoes of time looks completely immersion breaking. I noticed it in brief moments in A Links Awakening where the camera would load new locations but it didn't feel like a huge deal. Echoes however, it looks to be happening a lot during regular gameplay. I do wonder how stuff like this gets Nintendo's glance

We're probably not getting a 2D Mario (excluding Mario Maker which could come earlier) until at least 2028 and a 3D Mario until the second half of 2026 at least. Adding more content to Wonder is a no-brainer given its huge success (16.03 million units and counting).

I don't think we'd get 120 FPS support in a Switch 2 Edition, but that would be cool.

Given Wonder maxes out the Switch 1's output at 1080p/60 docked and 720p/60 portable, a 120fps Switch 2 version should be doable, though I kinda more expect they'll go with a higher resolution at 60fps. 4K/60 should be possible if they really knuckle down and make the effort.

And yeah I fully expect a Bowser's Fury type deal where you get a content expansion to get people to upgrade.

Don't know if the dev team that was working on it really feel like doing DLC work considering that was a game they spent leisurely their time working on. Doubt they had much left from the cutting floor.

Anywoo, I'm expecting a free upgrade type deal from this one if DLC doesn't get added.
