Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo announced a Donkey Kong Bananza Direct for June 18th

After this Direct, I am certain this is the Mario Odyssey team, so much of the design language and style is similar.

The addition of side scrolling levels is also music to my ears as someone who grew up with the SNES Donkey Kong Country games.

Also Nintendo, keep this Direct narrator, he did a great job.

I can't be the only one who noticed one of the side scrolling levels looked like the bramble levels from Donkey Kong Country 2. ^^

Who put that PCP and crack in Donkey Kong’s bananas?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I haven't loved a DK game since the Nintendo 64. I finished Returns on Wii, but didn't really enjoyed it.

Gotta say this one looks cool.

They're probably just bananas that have similar properties to PCP and crack.

I finished Returns, and Tropical Freeze, and I liked Tropical Freeze a lot more.

Pauline's missing shoes are the answer to a big question about Donkey Kong Bananza?

Hmm...

Don't just post links expecting people to click it to see what you're talking about; explain what it is.

And if it's just clickbait, don't share it.

Much better, though, my opinion on anything timeline related in the Mario series is basically non-existent because it's almost never something we should focus on care about really.

But I'm still confused as to how we have a young Pauline if this takes place AFTER the Donkey Kong arcade game in the 80s. Cranky even mentions the events of the first Donkey Kong Country, and he's supposed to be the first Donkey Kong as a bitter old man.
