Forums - Sony - What does the PS5 need to fix or improve upon?

The timer on games pages on my ps5.

Is accurate to my profile page 2 28.57%

Has recently been fixed 1 14.29%

Is broken 4 57.14%

Total:7

Props to the mid gen vibe check thread. As to why the console is rated so low, I wonder what it would take to win people over and get that poll weighted towards the top.

Personally I love the console, I got in just when they added some customisation and since then they have fixed a few glaring issues like just recently they fixed the clock on games pages to be more accurate and not hallucinate double or triple the time.

What exactly would you like to see fixed or improved on?

For me, the clock often undercounts gameplay time. It's so much worse than Steam's that it's unbelievable. How hard is it to get such a simple thing right?

Idk, it's so strange that it's not the same for everyone, like. Mine was doubling the time then it started near tripling it yet some people have never had a problem at all. Now that it's fixed I don't trust it. Does the clock on your profile keep accurate time? The one where you go into your most recent or most played games?

First party output without the live service mess and constant remakes/remasters of games that came out last gen.

Remaster collections of two games need to have 2 Platinum trophies and stop combining them under one list. My Lunar and Suikoden remaster collections should be 4 plats in total, not two.

Price, looks (both controller and console), in that order.

Release more A/AA games on genres they so far rely exclusively on third parties to provide. It worked for some time, but now almost every third party is being released on PC day one. As a publisher they should target at least 4 games a year, preferably one every 3 months, to keep their userbase busy. Don't make huge games, focus on smaller games with safer gameplay loop that need sell 1-2 million copies to break even. It's not about having huge profits, it's about diversifying and creating an image of having an unique platform with unique offerings. They tried live service strategy because live services keep the userbase active for long time, but it's abundantly clear their studios don't know how to make live services

Wolverine, Intergalactic, Ghost of Yotei, Saros and Death Stranding 2 is their only upcoming exclusive games I think, and two of them don't have a release date yet. More than that, all them seems to be action, action-adventure or action-RPGs, they need to diversify the genres of their games

Price? With the days of play sale the digital edition was priced identically to the XBSS, a console it is twice as powerful as. What more could they do with the price?

More first party single player games.

Bring back series like Killzone, Resistance, Motorstorm, Wipeout, etc.

Omega Boost PS1 classics.
Ape Escape Remake
New Wild Arms
Publish Metal Gear Rising 2, VanQuish 2 and Zone of the Enders 3.
More Korean/China projects like Stellar Blade/Lost Soul Aside.
Just in general go back to varied and interesting SP IPs. To new ones and don't chase trends.
Return to some classic PS1-PS2-PS3 IPs
Make a 3rd version of Dual Sense just a reg Dual Sense but better battery life and Hall Effect triggers. Reduced price.
