With My Nintendo store sales included, Switch 2 likely had 1,1-1,2 million launch in Japan. Meaning they doubled Xbox series lifetime sales in Japan during launch. That is crazy.

Does this mean we won't get a breakdown in sales between the Japanese only and multi-language Switch 2 SKUs? There is a notable price difference between the two.

Probably not. We will likely only get Nintendo mentioning shipments to Japan during their next fiscal quarter report, which we can use to estimate how many consoles Nintendo sold through My Nintendo Store in Japan, but we likely won't know how many of those consoles were the multi-language version.

My guess would be that My Nintendo store sales would be around 200K-300K, so with those included we are looking at a 1,1-1,2M launch in Japan.

It seems Nintendo went crazy with stock to Japan, its likely Japan had the biggest launch week for Switch 2, even bigger than the US launch.
