How much can we expect for Switch 2 sales by the end of June? 3.5 M until June 8 and we still have more than 3 weeks to go

Depends on production levels and amount of shipments, but 5-6 million sold in June should be possible.

I think that since the since the Switch 2 has been pretty well stocked, the sales might slow down. Most people buying a system at launch want it on the launch date, or as close as possible. So, barring any big announcements, I think sales will slow down a bit until DK Bonanza. I think another million would pretty darn good for the rest of June.

Well obviously sales will slow down, 3.5 million every 4 days is not feasible.

And weirdly, seing all of these haters make me wanna have one so bad

Nice, hopefully it is successful long term wise.

The Switch family the best nintendo systems since the SNES.

4 Days and already over 3.5 million, what happened to the console being overpriced hahaha, turns out it was a small group on the internet and that was it.

It’s the Avatar effect. A very small number of group-thinking pessimists being very very loud and active make it sound like a lot of negativity toward a TV show, film, game, or in this case a gaming console. Positive people tend not to talk about their opinions much online because their comments are bombarded by the cynical pessimists like a swarm of piranhas. The reality is that it’s just a small portion, amplified, because of social media. But, when you look at all the Star Wars assholes, the anti-Avatar people, the anti-Witcher people, the anti-[insert name of just about any popular IP-based TV Show, film, or other media], they’re all mostly the same people. If they like something, it’s usually because it’s old or they haven’t heard the other group-think pessimists complaining yet.

Pretty much this.

I remember back in the day on IMDB the Lord of the Rings movies were relentlessly hated and bashed for being "overrated" cos a minority of film snobs couldn't accept that they were great movies that deserved to be in the site's top 20 highest rated.

Likewise, the Wii got bashed constantly despite being the most popular and successful console of its generation.

Vocal hate usually comes from a minority of obnoxious loudmouths.

I'd argue, most people who don't have the time to complain or look at people complaining are likely the ones who play games the most really.

No time to hate, if you actually play all the stuff you need to really heh 😏

Pretty much, normal well adjusted human beings don't waste their time hating on things online, they just play what they like and get on with life.

While I knew that there was a very real chance the Switch 2 would have the biggest console launch ever I did not expect it to destroy the record like this god damn. People should be careful with reading into it too much since ample stock could mean they just fulfilled initial demand right away and there will be at least some people who decided to buy one immediately cause they know there won't by any price cuts later on and to avoid a potential price increase down the line but it still definitely means a lot to have a start this incredible. Time will tell for how well exactly it'll hold up in the coming months and years but it's very safe to say that it's gonna be at least a big success with strong potential for being a massive one.
