As soon as you're ready for another game you can easily put hundreds of hours into I highly recommend playing it. It's a strong contender for the best game I've ever played and fully lives up to its reputation. Since you're the type that can play something for over 10 hours a day if you get very sucked in then BG3 could become your addiction for over a full month and perhaps even become your game of the generation.

I mean I haven't finished it. I've made my way to the Goblin camp twice now and I'll need to start fresh a third time. It's just so... daunting of a task, like I know this, Wrath of the Righteous and KCD2 are going to be phenomenal games but I have them just sitting there installed on the SSD and can't get motivated. I'd say two months at least. DOS and DOS 2 were around that and BG3 looks bigger, moves at a slower pace and just loads of checking out all the little details as well as every ounce of dialogue and making sure nothing is being missed or overlooked.

Oh yeah it can certainly be daunting. I say give it to the end of act 1 and see how it goes since act 1 has a very strong climax and that was when I started to get really invested in the story and characters.

I might be able to do it soon cause Death Stranding 2 has me in that mood of a long ass game and I'm quite easily able to do an hour here and there and still progress. How did you deal with the Goblins? I read there were many ways to deal with them and people were amazed but I couldn't even find a way to poison them, no matter what I do it ends in an impossible battle and there is no way I'm selling out that first encampment.

Freeing Halsin first helps a lot there but other than that you can leave and explore elsewhere and get more XP first. BG3 rarely locks you into a hard fight so you can get more prepared with other fights and quests beforehand. You can also try using Withers to respec since not all classes and subclasses are created equal.

Yeah, definitely gonna look up a build guide. What I find a bit odd over Divinity OS is there is such little options, at least early on and it seems Luke your character can do fuck all, like step a few feet and that's it, turn over and such little skills to choose from. On console they choose to go with wheels also over the way Divinity did it with the MMO bar on the bottom which was so much better organised.

The amount of skills heavily depends on class, certain ones will already have a notable amount partway into act 1 and a cleric like Shadowheart will have a ton by act 3. And yeah I can't imagine playing it with a controller for that reason lol.

Yes to making changes and provide option to play older versions.

FFXV for an example is a almost completely different game at launch compared to its final version.
