Gonna be honest and say i think you guys are trying really hard to find something to complain about.

Disagree with all points you made across the board. they nailed it.

Point out one interesting thing in that trailer, please.I want to be excited too.

Sure, besides the graphics looking that good in the trailer I can see that Jason has a different physique than shown in trailer 1. possibly meaning Gym is returning. Lucia is seen doing some kind of martial arts in the trailer maybe we have different fighting styles like we could have in San Andreas. Also various activities like hunting, dirt biking, canoeing etc. of course nothing is confirmed yet because Rockstar has their formula of releasing a few story trailers before showing gameplay and that's no different this time.

The Screenshots also show off some interesting locations I especially like this one.

It sticks out to me because it's not true to Florida's geographical features as far as i know. meaning they are adding part of another state.

Anyways The trailers for Gta games are ALWAYS tamer than what is shown in the actual games. Watching GTA V trailer 1 for the first time one might come to the same conclusion you did for GTA VI but the actual game is more than that. Hell GTA 4's trailers were more serious with even less humor and going back to previous games even reinforces my point further. So i don't get why people are crying about it being "toned down" they aren't going to give everything away in the trailer.

Or maybe people are just impatient because Rockstar has taken forever to even announce this game. so pessimism is preferred now.

Me too. I've been wondering if they'd go super safe and they have. I didn't think they'd go this safe, they are crafting this game for the kids and GTA online sadly. Is the best they can vome up with is an everyday conversation like "seriously dude, you got time on your hands" and "hey...hey" and "ring the bells" "if we are doing this we are doing it right". "You and me, we got this". "Vice cityyyy babyyy" and "hey" again.

You can tell the writing team from RDR2 and GTA V is gone.

It certainly doesn't feel like Natural Born Killers or True Romance material, more like a TikTok Bonny and Clyde.

You can already see the game is made for streaming and short videos to advertise itself. This is no GTA 4 story which would be a lot more relevant today, dodging ICE and MAGA etc. Yeah it does feel very safe with everything that is and has been going on.

Maybe there's still some satire in the radio stations or random comedy along the way. This looks at most to be a caricature of yesterday rather than the nihilistic satire GTA became known for.

It's pretty, it's open world mayhem, it will sell well for the next decade. The game is too big to risk pissing certain groups off, it has to be safe. Mild caricature instead of satirical parody.

You got all of that from a 3 minute trailer? How?

you’re jumping the gun here, Legit. Zelda TotK, for instance, didn’t showcase anything until a few months prior to launch. My guess is that Rockstar is saving their cards for a little bit closer, in order to hit maximum sales.

I feel like they've thrown so much money and time at this game it's going to make everything else look AA by comparison. Hopefully they nail it, expecting a ton of side activities.

First trailer was ok, but this one elevated my expectations.

Oh, I'm talking about the story, the campaign. I suppose this matter most to me and less to most GTA players but also the characters, craziness and satire.

I'll check out the GTA 4 and V trailers and see. Good idea.

40 years experience with movie trailers ;) But I could be wrong of course. I hope I'm wrong and the dark satirical humor remains intact. I simply did not get that impression from the trailer.

Trailer played it too safe. Also don't like their strip club. They're toning down on everything. Trailer felt like gta5 part 2. My hype is low, will wait till release day reviews.
