I don't fear a recession in general. They suck but aren't necessarily life-destroying for most.
I am fearful of another Great Recession like the late 2000s and especially fearful of a Great Depression. And right now, the Great Recession of the late 2000s is looking like the best-case scenario.

Of course. It would be foolish not to worry about your financial prosperity and security when it’s in jeopardy. That has a knock on effect of not being able to maintain your lifestyle and compromising/axing future plans and your ability to support your family when they’re in need.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I find it odd no one is choosing human intervention and course correction. Nothings ever set in stone when humans are involved, we never thought we'd have gotten the vaccine for covid so soon never mind so many so quickly.... not that there is much that can be done here asides from WW3 to reset things.

That's exactly what's going to happen. We're going to go straight into WW3 unlike what happened in 1929 when it went into depression, and then after a long period, a war. It's all planned to happen sadly. India Pakistan war is starting. The Iran US nuke talks fail and US goes to war with Iran. Nato in Ukraine going to war with Russia too. It's the only way out of the economic situation that we are in.

Exactly. Great booms come after war, it's a fact as old as time. War...boom...relative peace... massive slump
...war...boom...relative peace...massive slump... war... Our relative peace has been long, we are now the slump. Confine it to the US and you can nail down the slump and war to every 80-90 years but it applies to most of civilization past.
