Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Switch 2 Game Prices

$70 should be the cap and it should be relatively rare, even for Nintendo titles.
The third-party games shown are pretty fairly priced.
For how old BOTW is, it should've gone down by now and the Switch version should be $50 or so.

Breath of the Wild is the Switch version on a Switch 1 cartridge, but with the paid-update via a redemption code.
The Switch 2 version of the game isn't on the Switch 2 version of the cart.

Breath of the Wilds "enhancements" is just a few changes in a text file to improve resolution, framerate and apply anisotropic filtering... That's a massive amount of profit they are gleaming from what I could do on the emulated version of the game in a couple of seconds on PC.

Is it me or are the physical switch 2 game boxes design kind of ugly?

Yeah, I don't love it. A lot of it kind of screams paranoia of 'we are avoiding a WiiU situation at all costs, even if we have to blast this branding in everyone's faces'.

They need people to know this is indeed a Switch 2, and these are indeed Switch 2 games.

Then BOTW should be pretty cheap then, as the Switch version should be $20-$40 by now in a fair world with the Switch 2 enhancements free or a small fee.

That giant ass disclaimer with a QR box at the bottom is awful - also the top part of the box lol.

The OG Switch boxes were perfect.

I can live with the bar at the top (or at least, plz modify it) but the bottom text section is just awful

Not as bad as the batman cover but closest to it this gen.

The text is different on the PAL versions of the Switch 2 Edition games

Oh good, less words ....

But it doesn't make it clearer in my mind. There's also no mention of a mandatory download. So I'll assume there's a real possibility it's just all on the cart.
