The game starring Cornelius from Planet of the Apes?

Based in the scores I think the game is underrated, because for me the game is at least a 85.

My real Goty is Metaphor, but just to throw a bit of salt, I think Wukong is a way BETTER game than Stellar Blade (I like Stellar Blade, but I prefer Wukong).

Now that I said it, its time to run.

A dumb monkey game funded by the CCP got all this attention just for being caught in the middle of the divided western political debate, when a lot of it's controversy was likely astroturfed just to get that attention.

Meanwhile a new big JRPG by Atlus which was GOTY for pretty much everyone who played it, got overlooked because it had a confusing name.

You get the industry you deserve.

The "dumb monkey game" is a well made game based on one of the world's most influential novels. Millions genuinely loved it, and it won as many GOTY awards as Metaphor, which isn't even necessarily the best RPG of the year coz Rebirth arguably edged it out overall, no clear winner between the two.

"GOTY for pretty much everyone who played it" is nonsense. AstroBot dominated. It certainly wasn't my GOTY, I liked Rebirth and Unicorn Overlord more, but my opinion doesn't delete objective metrics like critical and user receptions, polls, forum and social media discussions, and awards which AstroBot managed to dominate without selling crazy amounts of copies. Confusing name isn't the reason Metaphor lost lol.

I meant overlooked in terms of sales and general popularity. My comment had nothing to do with your PS Mascot ripoff of Mario Galaxy, or the game award show which no real gamer takes seriously.

Nice to know you're so insecure about those topics you pre-emptively jumped to defend them and any other game that's semi-exclusive to PS.

Someone like you referencing 'objective metrics' rings absolutely hollow. I can easily imagine where all those metrics derive from.

Yes coz AstroBot is settings charts on fire lol fuck off. You made an absurd remark and I corrected you. What rings hollow is your childish accusations and false claims that pretty much everyone who played Metaphor had it as their GOTY (AstroBot indeed beats it comfortably, and a couple of others challenge it). I made no mention of "the game award show", just awards in general across the internet and the general consensus. Good to know AstroBot has you rattled this much.

Rattled? I wasn't even thinking about it until you mentioned it. The only charts it's setting on fire are the one's flooded by your ilk. I'm sure the game itself is fine, but people didn't suddenly need a PS5 just to play it (because they already know which platform provides the best games of that genre), and no one outside your bubble cares enough about it to get into this impassioned debate.

"The game award show", "awards in general", they all just serve the same purpose: reaffirming some deranged fanbase that their opinion is somehow more valid. Meanwhile most gamers are too indifferent to even notice who's getting what meaningless award from which irrelevant source.

"Astrobot setting charts on fire" is sarcasm you absolute genius. I meant that just like Metaphor, it had limited popularity and you seem to agree! Metaphor wasn't GOTY for everyone who played it, what's YOUR source for this nonsense?

Don't be upset about someone correcting a blatant lie.

I thought that Sekiro being a character action game would be the hottest take in these series of topics but "Metaphor was overlooked because of its confusing name while being a GOTY for all those who played it" is straight up fanfiction.

You think Ragnorok is a 10 aswell... man, I don't understand you. That game is paint by numbers and has nothing on GoW '18. It's so bland. Got through the quest with Freya after the long atreus section and parked that up for a rainy day when no games vibe. I think it has potential to be an 8/10 but my God is it like it was made on a factory line with no creative input. Disney of GoWs, good junk food but it's not really food. GoW '18 was excellent cause it had all that nonsense stripped back and felt wide and open, Ragnorok feels like a roller coaster ride.

You sir, are very difficult to understand.

How would you classify Sekiro? It's not a souls game. It's simply a difficult character action game that takes some souls influence as does Black Myth with shrines but just happens to use rythym based mechanics. StellatBlade uses those same mechanics. They are the same genre.
