Every time I read "handheld" console I cannot not be happy and smile, clearly the fact that a Hybrid home console is selling so well and it is not Sony it is still upsetting people! I just love it.

Switch is actually down YoY this week breaking the trend from the past couple of months.  Still, it's only slightly down and could easily be up YoY again next week.  The holiday glow is finally over for Mario Party and especially DQ3.  The latter game may permanently fall out of the top 10 soon.

Are you implying that the Switch is not a handheld console or is less handheld compared to those things? Cause it by definition is a handheld device so that wouldn't be accurate. The person you responded to literally wants the Switch to beat the PS2 so there's no inherent hidden motive with calling it a handheld. Calling it a hybrid or a home console is fine to be clear but I just don't get implying that sort of thing.

What the hell is happening with PS5 this january in Japan?
Is there some announced cut in price?

I really want to import it, but it will probably get a release here, so Im hoping that happens soon.

Keeping 45k baseline with no new releases and successor announced is crazy.

I think the Switch baseline will go down to 30-35k when the Switch 2 launches, but I'm assuming a price cut is coming. I think PS5 sales will go even lower when the Switch 2 comes.

Switch's first full week post-Switch 2 reveal and it's pulling numbers like most successful systems do in their prime.

Echoing that it's nice to see Ender Magnolia charting.
