Personally, I can wait maybe a few months post-launch. I didn’t get the OG Switch until late-May 2017 before ARMS came out in June. In the mean time, I can buy the Switch 2 titles that would release that I want to play (please let SF6 be one of them >.<) before eventually getting the console, itself. Plus, I have several more Switch titles I want to get such as Guilty Gear Strive, Capcom Fighting Collection 3, Xenoblade X DE, Phantom Brave, and the next Rune Factory.

Probably not since I've moved away from consoles in the past decade but unlike me having zero intention of ever getting an Xbox Series or PS5 there is still some chance I get a Switch 2, Nintendo's exclusive software is that strong.

I did this for the Wii and the WiiU and had a great time.  Well, the Wii was far more fun because the buzz was palpable and every single retailer in my area was caught flat footed.  I remember WalMart telling me the day before launch there wouldn't even be a line.  By 4pm the day before there were already 4 people in line at Target and I became the 5th of what would be 30 people all gathered together playing DS, board games, sharing stories about their love of Nintendo and being jazzed about swinging Link's sword in Twilight Princess.  The nearest thing to this for me was waiting in line for advance tickets for The Phantom Menace in '99. Can't believe that Wii launch was almost 20 years ago.

Yes, I don't own a Switch and am waiting for the successor for a while now and especially with the backwards compatibility I want it day 1

Nope. Maybe we'll down the line for a main line, high quality Fire Emblem but I'll probably wait for a Switch 2 lite if a game like that releases. I'm just happy on PS5 and I'm attached to the ecosystem, I know a Switch 2 will collect dust just like my Switch, it would be a waste of money for me no matter how inviting.
