Just Finished: Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando HD (PS+ Premium)

My first Ratchet & Clank game was Up Your Arsenal back on the PS2. I played the Ratchet & Clank remake/movie tie in on the PS4, so never felt the need to go back to play the PS2 original. That now makes Going Commando the earliest entry in the series I have played. What a surprise to find out that they pretty had much perfected the recipe for R&C games by the 2nd entry. I think Up Your Arsenal added online multiplayer which is really the only way that Going Commando is lacking in comparison. I would put this game on the level of any of the later games, maybe only Up Your Arsenal and Rift Apart are better. The level design is strong and varied. The controls are tight. The humor is captivating (many digs at Jak & Daxter). Clank is given fun stuff to do, including combat and boss fights. The space ship levels kinda suck, which would be my biggest gripe. The game can also be surprisingly challenging. I died more than I anticipated. The UI could have been improved (it got better for later games) and the weapons took a while to uprgrade. This game is aces. There are only a few more traditional R&C games I haven't played. I hope this series continues for a long time. It's truly one of my favorites.

Score: 9/10

Beat Keepers Toll at 14 hours. 8/10.

Fantastic little Vampire Survivors like with the potential to be higher with continued support for content and expanding on things. The game does a lot of things better but lacks much also and there is a lavk of complexity, regardless the way it plays, progression and the fact that you aren't picking the same skills to synergies is very refreshing along with an endless mode that you can actually attempt and stacks debuffs. I've only done three classes for far but they were all great. Really solid game. There's foundation here for it to reach VS, I hope they continue support for it and I'll return for the Platinum Trophy .

Added Mario Kart World

I love these lists, been checking in everytime I update mine and you both have really cool varied tastes, I get some of these are smaller games but it doesn't take away from the fact that a game every 4 days is bad ass.

Thank you :)

The backlog needs to melt down.

I do :). Versus Evil has me intrigued aswell, the man is a machine at Platinuming games, constant 100% completion.

Just Finished: Batman: Arkham Origins (PS+ Premium)

Strangely, this is my first time playing an Arkham game even though I am a big Batman fan. I know this is the third game in the series and has the worst reputation but I decided to start here since it is chronologically first and is the only Arkham game that does not have a native PS4 version. Origins was a decent experience. The presentation and original story are mostly well done. This open world version of Gotham City is pretty limited and not that fun to get around. I realize the Arkham games had a huge influence on Insomniac's Spider-Man games but I played those first and those are more fun because of Spider-Man's powers and is not quite such a dark and dour affair like Batman. Some of the mechanics and controls are clunky. The combat system has it upsides but also feels like a button masher at times. It took me a reasonable amount of time to complete the story. I don't feel invested enough to 100% the game and complete all the side missions though. Points off for being a buggy mess at time, forcing me to restart the game. I have the other three Arkham games on PS4 and will play through them some time in the future. You either die a hero...

Score: 7/10
