It's very hard to make good stuff on BG3. Especially for elves. You have to change things then check all angles and change something else, spent so long on my male half elf and then as soon as he gets shown in the in game cutscenes he looks completely different. It's like they used different lighting in the creator, biggest gripe with that game so far, he looks so funky I wanna scratch my playthrough and start again, probably will with the origin characters actually.

Speaking of VR, is there any hot characters in PSVR 2 games? I'm trying so hard right now not to give in to the sale and buy the thing as I really wanna save up for an Asus ROG and I'm already spending sp much on ps5 games, I can't stop buying the damn things even though I play a little then move onto the next one.

BTW, your F4 character looks like he fits in a post apocalypse, there's a lot to be said about consistency like that and immersion but having an older character I assume would not suit that stories premise too well... or maybe more so, perhaps meeting your son as an older guy is more powerful...

Mia Winters and Lady Dimitrescu is about it. The characters RE4 already look too fake/plastic. There's Alloy making a brief appearance in CotM and its fun to poke characters in the face and ears in that game lol. (Imagine having to mocap the reactions haha)

However the rest is all low poly, low detail. I got more 'presence' from characters on PSVR1 than PSVR2. The higher resolution and lower detail characters just makes them look fake.

Yeah, there's definitely something to the screen door effect, my quest 2 doesn't have it as much and it felt like something is missing. It's there in porn but in games it's much so lessened. And speaking of porn... do they still have that RAD app where you can sideload porn onto it?

They can make the experience more pleasant if done well, but too attractive is also a problem at times. You probably don't really need attractive characters all that often, but often that extra bit of pleasantness does help the experience. Obviously judging how much it helps isn't easy to measure however.

Two hours. Whoah, I'll added it to my list for Podcast games. Can you do a TLDR though?

First ~30 mins: debunking the manufactured outrage around Stellar Blade
Next ~30 mins: personally reviewing Stellar Blade and comparing to relevant games
Next ~30 mins: discussing objectification in gaming and debunking other manufactured outrage (Hades 2)
Next ~30 mins: circling back to Stellar Blade outrage and reactionary self owns
Final 10 mins: conclusion

Fuck it. I'll watch it. Any talk about Stellar Blade is a good time regardless of topic.

I understand the need to up the resolution of the graphics, and how beautiful women are fine. But why do they always make the characters look stupider, even more effeminate, and more incompetent as a part of the process?

Gross looking Geralt looks much more fitting for the role he's assigned. The Butcher of Blaviken!

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Considering the sorts of games that likely inspired this thread/discussion, I find the following video to be amusing and relevant:

It's not just about Stellar Blade, but touches on other games with sexy characters like Bayonetta, Nier Automata, Baldur's Gate 3, FF7 Rebirth, etc.

Agreed with EVE'S personality, the story of the game and just a few points on the gameplay of whoch he simultaneously got the point of the game while letting it slip through his grasp, it's a mash of everything from the genre from the last few generation and it's fun as all hell, can't expect someone to go through it with a fine tooth comb for a video and get that fun while their making notes. He didn't once mention the overall gameplay loop which is where the game shines in questing, exploring, Looting and repeat, even better than the combat which he misunderstands also, since he vompared it and as someone with 300 hours in Sekiro I can say this game does some things better. He even missed the point of the music not matching making it vibe, this is a man who can't have fun and as to that..

As for the video I put the problem I have with the video aside and made it 52 mins and that is this dude, while I agree with him on many points specifically Grumms and the constant whining but my God if there's one thing worse than the grifters and right wing reactionaries who go on and on complaining about shit it's the dudes like this that make videos on them, they are like the kids who'd rat you out in school while breaking a rule. The type to push their glasses in and go"well achhhhtually". What made me quit the video is for fuck sake, he could say half of what he says concisely, it's like he's going off on tangents but if he was going off on tangents he might actually be saying something. So many words to say fuck all, waste of my time. I'm not sure the man has said anything interesting the entire video, I'd rather listen to Asmongold the know it all, at least he says something interesting now and then. If only he'd stop second guessing his every opinion and stop thinking about what his audience is thinking of what he's saying, he might be able to say something resembling a unique thought.

I doubt this man has had fun in his life, seems like the type to misunderstnad the concept and try and define it rather than engage with it And I'm sure he'd say "well achhhhtuallly, there was this one time...". Bah.

If you think he's not being concise and using many words to say little then you may not be paying enough attention to what he's saying; you did say you planned on putting it on in the background as you game, after all. As for the "does he even enjoy life?" bits, I encourage you to finish the video.

Well, I was playin Asteobot for bit but I gave him attention enough. Sure why not, I'll give it another try. I'm half way through it anyway and I've fuck all to do.

Guilty.

If I see a female character I'm attractive to , higher chance of me buying or having interest in buying.

Yeah, I'm glad I finished that, the whole Hades 2 thing was ridiculous and the stellar blade outrage had me laughing. Oh God, he's right though, these people don't play games and he probably hit the nail on the head with his evaluation as to why. I laughed through those tweets of Mark Kern during the great battle over Eve's clothing clothing changes but man, I have to say I feel bad for him. Something went wrong there somewhere in his life, I doubt he's grifting, he genuinely sees himself as a general in a war against the woke. 🤣
