Backyard Baseball '01. What a trip down memory lane! You rarely ever knew anyone that actually owned any of the Backyard Sports games, but there was a decent chance they would be available in your school's computer classroom lol. And thankfully that was the case for me. Backyard Baseball and Backyard Hockey were my jams! Thankfully Hockey is coming out later this year, but from the feeling that you were in the Sandlot, the real MLB players disguised as kids, and that Loony Tunes animation/sound effects that seems to have been in practically every 90s kids PC games lol. Love this series all over again and I'm hoping my daughter will enjoy it as well.
I believe Backyard Baseball '97 came to consoles like a month or two ago.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind
Xenosaga 1 a fantastic jrpg with a gigantic amount of story and great gameplay, fantasti. Characters and a AMAZING art design.
Xenosaga 2, well...its story and music and art design is great(i like the new char style)
Now playing xenosaga 3 and OMG....i love it more then i want to admit.
Its like they learned what worked and not worked and made the perfect xenosaga game.
It might actually be..
Better then ffx.

It's def a game of it's time. It's no tbad but def dated. Not the first time I played it. Just not finished it in years. Pretty much an arcade game. I still want a proper Berserk May Cry like game. Soulstice is as close as I will get.

Grabbed a few more games in the last few weeks asides from Death Steanding 2 which I've finished and do not want it to be over yet, I may go back to DS1 with the directors cut and platinum that yet. Luckily the games below were free, on sale and all have a stickiness to them.
Besides for these games I'm Chipping at the platinum for Keepers Toll and Death Stranding 2, both of which I'd highly recommend at fully price but says a must buy on sale. (Keepers toll is only 5 euro). I still have Oblivion to return to which is hard to get motivated for and I really wanna get my playthrough of Baldurs Gate 3 into full swing and have it stick as well as KCD2 and Sea of Stars so I def do not need to buy anything until Ghost of Yotei. I have a fair idea that Wuchang will not live up to the games it's imitating cause of on screen effects among other issues so I can't see what I will be buying anytime soon asides from The Alters which I intend to get on sale but a few bew release may get me. WU Chang Fallen Feathers, Hell is US, Deep rock Galactic Survivors and Silent Hill F but I have pessimism about all four of those.
Cathrine: Fully body It's cery interesting so far, I wish the scenes didn't have so many cuts as if they are loading. The puzzle gameplay is nice but it's really the odd story and animation tthat's got me. I'll most likely finish this and it's a 50/50 recommendation so far, could go e8ther way.
Risk of Rain 2 Free on PS+ Extra and already played a few hours on Switch, it's a great little game if a bit frustrating at times. It's a rouglite where the gimmick is that difficulty increases so you have to play fast and know where things are so runs are exploration first and then you build and then you run for completion. It's highly recommend on a half price sale and def worth the time free on PS+.
Soulsstone Survivors Not even close to a great Vampire Survivors like and has really odd decisions like tying weapon unlocks to leveling up another random character. Too many systems going on and they don't unlock early enough so it's quite confusing but the feel of the gameplay, the weight of it being so light feeling and the unlocks are my biggest gripe, they are little percentage increase to stats and/or new CD skills. You can keep swapping out skills for a build here which is cool but tougher done when you have invested in a skill. You can continue onto new levels with your current build though which is why I keep returning. I may finish this but I doubt it'll be a over a 7 when all is said and done. I would not recommend.
Habroxia Only bought this cause it's Colin Moriartys game and it was on deep sale. it's okay, a simple SHMUP but kinda fun and decently put together. Not sure I can recommend it on just on hour of gameplay so far.
Banishers Ghosts of New Eden Seen it drop on PS+ Extra and thought why not. Looks decent. I've yet to dive deeper than 30 minutes but so far looks more low end AAA than AA, I'm intrigued and from what I seen researching before I downloaded I suspect I'll be maining this one, could be a gem that flew under the radar.
These games all flow together nicely, esspecially while maining DS2's Platinum, they feel so nice to boot up after a session delivering packages.
I have so much in my backlog, games I know that'll be great but many are daunting and a few that are good but just not good enough to continue. I'll have to go through them and sort the wheat from the chaff.

I love Kiki's delivery service so the idea of playing a witch delivering stuff in a village sounded interesting but I dislike that you kind of have to find out yourself where to deliver things at some point without some hints. Just don't want to play a game with a completion guide next to me. Pity. - Glover
Yeah the performance is horrible, it is maybe better to play it on N64... -COD WWII (2018) Only the campaign and really disliked it, the driving sections were just bad, story is mid, turret sections feel so outdated even for its time.. -Xuan Yuan Sword 7
After Playing FFXVI I wasn't sure I wanted to play another Action adventure game with RPG elements but I enjoyed it a lot. Game can feel repetitive combat wise but because it goes so smooth it did not really bother me at all. It has a minigame , A chess kind of game that I normally would hate but it is done well and the challenge later on is even fun. If you don't mind asian settings and low budget games keep this one on your check out list. -Arcade Archives 2 Air Combat 22 Sigh, I love Air Combat 1 and I knew this is a prequel Arcade game but I wanted to support them in the hope they will port more Air Combat/Ace Combat games. - Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara Little Platform game that is enjoyable and easy to complete, perfect game priced around 7€ on sale. If you can't get enough of platform games check it out. - Super Sami Roll  Started fine but the controls make it hard and then it just becomes frustrating, I bailed out after the first 10 levels. - Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3-4  I get why some people are not happy with 4's changes and I don't like they cut some levels/cut music and some game decisions that feel dumb (You have to beat the whole game to unlock solo tour for a secondary character). Still they added more characters/New levels aswell and if it gets some updates it becomes a great game now I would give it an 8-8.5.  Also Completed Vampire Survivors latest April Update, like always one of the best indie experience of the generation for me. |
Nice. Is the Chinese game really worth 50 euro though? Seems a bit steep. 🤔 And totally agreed on Vampire Survivors, you couldn't get more value out of a game, I bought that on sale for 2.50 euro and got 70 hours out of it, all immensely fun right til the end. I've since spent over 100 euro on the genre clones and only found one that comes close, the recently released Keepers toll which is light on content so far but almost as fun as VS, I would highly recommend it at the full 5 euro, it's a must play. Bout 12 hour to beat but 25-30 to 100%.

Got Xuan Yuan sword 7 for like 15€ and during sales it will be priced around that price. Hard to recommend a game that feels low budgetted while their are so many 'good games'. I just think that many will have a good time with it and while Metacritic wise it isn't high most issues were last gen based (like long loading times,or frame rate/performance). Maybe it is one of those games you buy and then are happily surprised but if someone recommend it you will like it less because you expect some great stuff...=p
I have Keepers toll on my wish list on steam ^^.

Oh if it's 15 for sure, I'd def gamble on it if it has an OG language pack and subtitles, I'd dive in with no expectations at all and see how it plays out. I've bought much worse looking games and been surprised before.
