Great choices! It took several years for PS3 to hit its stride, but there were definitely a few hidden gems in those 2006-2007 years. I still have a big soft spot for Folklore. The folk-capturing battle system was very cool, and the art direction and atmosphere were outstanding.

Ya, I gotta wonder why those games fell short enough to ignore folkow ups, if I remember correctly Warhawk was a big game yet...nothing. Resistance, a mild success but gets a trilogy. Odd. For Folklore, I still remember the vibe more than anything else and being amazed by the visuals. Would really love to see if it holds up.

Resistance: Fall of Man was one of PS3’s first and only successes during the early years and the sequel still hit a few million in sales. The third Resistance and the spinoffs didn’t do the numbers PlayStation were hoping for so it’s been dormant since the vita.

Warhawk only hit a million in sales according to the vgchartz and the sequel (the super fun Starhawk) flopped pretty badly. It’s a shame because I normally am not a big fan of online only games but it was so fun that I didn’t care I was playing with people online.

Wow, I didn't even know there was a sequel, they mustn't have advertised it at all or it got drown in other releases. That's a pity for sure, I'd hope they'd grow some balls though and try these IPs again, maybe market them properly. The hype generation from fans should at least bring some attention. Since they're all in on live service and remakes, a warhawk remake would be perfect for them.

Resistance 3 actually had an amazing single player campaign, old style shooter with a Half-Life feel from start to finish. A remaster of that one would be great. (First 2 had OK campaigns, third one hits all the right marks)

For me

1. TloU
2. Portal 2
3. R&C Future: a Crack in Time
4. Dark Souls
5. Journey
6. Ni No Kuni
7. Skyrim
8. Dragon Age: Originins
9. Fallout New Vegas
10. Valkyria Chronicles

Honorable mentions

Wipeout HD, Little Big Planet, Rayman Origins, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Heavy Rain, NFS: Hot Pursuit

What a great generation!

It was a really fun gameBut they barely touched it with marketing. It probably could make a decent comeback though.

I always wanted to play resistance 3. I heard they did course correction from Resistance 2 as far as horror elements with 3. I used to be kind of a wimp when it came to horror in games.

Probably Valkyria Chronicles

It was the first game of its kind that I had played, and I enjoyed it a lot. Music by the composer for Final Fantasy Tactics and FF12.
Memorable characters and fun combat system.

The atmosphere of Folklore is what I remember the most about it as well.
It reminded me a bit of the atmosphere in Shadow Hearts.

This was such an awesome generation; even beyond the ones I already posted, there was just so much great stuff to play on PS3; the Mass Effect trilogy, Dead Space, Vanquish, the Resistance trilogy, Killzone 2/3, Puppeteer, Motorstorm games, COD in its prime, Skyrim, Binary Domain...

Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 & 3

Uncharted 2, easy.

Dark Souls is the best PS3 game with Valkyria Chronicles being a close second.

Playstation always makes it difficult to choose as they easily have the best library of games, but if I were to pick one it would be
God of War 3
