Is it "next gen" . I havent seen the latest trailer , but everything else till now, the game doesn't look open . As in the draw distance seems linear and the borders of the environemnts dont seem to strech out far, instead they are closed of and makes the view close to the player in almost all the environments . I didn't see environents thet felt huge . So from a design perspective it didn't look "next gen" .

Yea I kinda agree. While the bosses,  look nextgen with the graphics and animation they haven't show any real exploring and it looks like it's gonna run really bad on consoles with low resolution.

this footage looks pretty insane. Next gen as one can get lol if it can run like that on consoles.

I doubt that's representative of the game, it's from before they even started hiring to beef out the studio to build the game. This is probably not even a vertical slice, more of an early concept video. No way in hell will it look like that on PS5. Also, they are holding back PS5 codes for the review cycle from what I gather (May be true, maybe not but looks to be true).

Review embargo lifts on the 16th from what I can find, we should get away from this pointless bickering over wheter this game is a generational leap or if continuing it, compare it more to Stellar Blade or he'll balde 2 since those are actually 9th gen titles.

Did you see this one, this looks so above everything else on ps5.  Yea no way is ps5 gonna able to run this with going down to 720p with FSR destroying image quality. Honestly after ps4 i kinda expected these kinda of graphics from ps5.

I can't see how it's a leap over this, aside from the transformations...

I don't think Stellar Blade looks better than Ragnarök or Demon's Souls, to be honest.

Heavy game is heavy:

Once more, with DLSS Quality and frame generation:

That's comparable to Cyberpunk 2077 and Alan Wake 2 with path tracing.

I don't own Hellblade 2 so not sure how Black Myth compares to that, eyeballing some PC ultra gameplay on YouTube I think they might look about the same but the environs are very different.

too much motion blur for my liking when attacking tone it down an it might be enjoyable play.

The games PC benchmark tool peaked at 85K players several hours ago. For just a benchmark lol! Proper next gen or not, we may be looking at the next major game of the year.
